Poor Presentation
Considering this app provides news and commentary about the worlds finest tech company (Apple), I would have thought that presentation could be much better. The multiple ads on every article are extremely distracting, and the app often crashes for no apparent reason. Intrusive Ads!!!!
I’ve had the app for quite a long while and check articles everyday, but as of today, I’m deleting the ad. When you try to read an article, ads pop up and can’t be deleted without closing the article. According to reviews, I’m not the only one who feels this way. Who needs this! I’m deleting the app today! 1.5 out of 5 rating should say it all.Show lessGJWebs

Hello, we have terminated the third-party ad network that was serving those takeover ads (these are usually the result of rogue advertisers, not the ad network themselves). Ads Take Over, Try To Trick You Into Giving Personal Data
All I want is the Mac news and providing this with sensible Ads to support this effort is fine. However in this App, lately Ads pop up that one doesn’t even ask for, take over screen, and provide NO WAY TO GET OUT OF THEM!!!
Killing the App and restarting does not prevent this behavior from continuing the very next time App is started, and a story attempts to be read.Show lessEdTech Dad

I’ve been using this app since it first came out. It’s really an excellent way to get the latest news quickly. However, the ad implementation is very intrusive especially when it forces you to close the app and re-boot just to get away from some of the ads that take over the screen completely. Also, no badges have been shown on the apps icon for about a year and a half. What’s up with that? I would like to know when new articles have been posted.Show lessRich W.

I think even 1 Star is too much. This app has basically become a spam app. All you get is Ads and can hardly read an article for having a pop up ad show up that you can’t get out of until you go back to the main list. Even then, it might not let you ever view the articles.Egonj
Too many pop ups
Seems to be a reintroduce “feature”. In the past is was not a bad problem. Able to use the send to a reading list and finish up article in the browser. A good list of articles, but ads are very annoying.JimButcher
Mac site not updating iPhone X app.... irony at its finest
This app/news site is all about iPhone and macs and still hasn’t updated for iPhone X resolution.
To be supposedly on the fore front of Mac news and not spending 2 hours to update their app is ridiculous. It’s the reason I don’t read they’re articles anymore.Houligan91
Good App - Gathers News From All Over!
I don’t understand why all the bad reviews.... I LIKE THIS APP! I have used it for a few years & like the way it gathers Mac OS news, iOS news, Apple Corp., new apps, hardware, software, patents, etc. from all over the web. You can glance at this and see the headlines and then go to a short summary of the news or the original article. You can really keep up with Apple and all related news at one easy to get to location. The app usually works flawlessly and that’s all you really want from an app, consistent performance! Sure there’s advertisement, but they’re trying to eat too, right? So like I said, it’s well worth it to me! Try it!Show lessdbernelle
