Great app for navigating London by Tube!

The map view and route planner is A1 and super simple. Much more simple and direct than city mapper.

It’s great!!!

Just an Ad display app now

Had this app on various phones for years. Used to be great. You could open it up, look at the map and decide what to do in seconds. Now you open the map, and get inundated with adverts. Part of the problem is the people who make the adverts, who should have their very own circle in hell, but when you want very simple info ASAP, this app becomes pointless. They’ve taken a really simple, useful tool, bloated it out with features that aren’t used most of the time, needed ads to support the bloat and further bloat development and thrown the baby out with the bath water. Deleted and downloaded the TFL pdf map instead. Shame.

Excellent App!

Very good and accurate!

Awful filled with ads galore, feels like spam

Awful app, so bad that today I’ve gone in to see if it’s actually a TFL app or a knock off, but surprisingly it is a TfL app, which is shocking re its quality. I use it rarely, only when I want to decide on a route when I’m out & about - tried to use it yesterday on the train and as usual I had to sit & wait for ages (several minutes) waiting for the stupid video ads - that can’t be closed early - to stop playing. Why do you need ads on a map app? I shut it down twice hoping it might end the ads, but alas, the videos started upon opening the app every time. So I just forced quit & when to Google to find a map image instead. Awful awful app with a really cheap, spammy & unusable feel. About to delete & find an alternative.

Response from developer

Thanks for the stars. 😊

Killed by the devs greed ~ TFL GO is infinitely better & free with NO ads!

Years ago this was great but it progressively got to be unusable if you want a map in a hurry with big full page ads that are on a timer like it’s some TV show! TFL run their own app now which is excellent has a load of great features and up to the minute info no other third party apps have like broken lifts etc. I know devs need to eat and don’t mind banner ads if it’s putting food on their table but keep away from subscriptions and full page splash screens or it’ll be dumped in the trash with a review to say it ain’t worth it. I was using this before TFL Go came out but now that’s here this is deleted…

Makes Navigating London a Breeze

I found myself coming back to this app again and again despite also having the TfL app. This one is much more intuitive and I love the clean interface. It gives multiple options for connecting which is helpful if one line requires you to wait, or you need a specific line with multiple stops for different people. The offline options are especially helpful when on the underground as there’s no cell service.

Bad Choice

Used the free version on a recent visit to London. The Tube moves a lot of busy people and is often crowded. Just when you need it to decide which lines to get you where you want to be, and trying not to impede polite but busy people, you’ll get an ad. And not just a quick ad you can x out of, but one that forces you to endure for way too long. If you want to plan in advance, use CitiMapper, which includes more options to get you around by foot, train or bus. If you just need to navigate the Tube, you will find wall maps through out the stations, and they also provide free paper overviews of the entire system. I understand ads support free apps, but these make the app unusable on the fly.
