Reviews of Audacy

  • Listen to the app every day!!

I never listened to Audacy until I heard the morning show I listen to every day say to download the app for a change to win tickets to Justin Timberlake. Sadly I didn’t win but I have listened to the app ever since. I love that I can listen to the stations I loved back home, or I can listen to podcasts, which I haven’t tried yet but have that option. So far I’ve had no problems with the app. The only thing I’d like to be able to do is see how many entries I have when they do giveaways. It would be nice to see how many I have accumulated but it would also prove I’m actually being entered. So if you guys could do that Audacy that would be awesome, and if the ability is already available I would love to know how I can see that. Other then that I have no complaints. Yes there are adds but not bad and WAY LESS then regular radio! Definitely try it.
  • LOTS OF BUGS. When playing music

This app is good with podcasts. The music stations they provide are just ok. BUT THEY WAY THEY DO THE MUSIC IS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. No offense but I only use Audacy for lots of music (too cheap to get a better music app) and maybe one or two podcasts. But in the music stations when you start it up it’s fine but for real it’s horrible. It won’t work without WiFi and internet connection, and I would love a feature where I can go offline and still be able to listen to music. and it also will stop randomly in the middle of a song. It mixes up the album cover when it’s playing songs too. It doesn’t have the option to create playlists at all, and I feel any app which provides music should have this. You can’t really search up specific songs either. And you only get 6 skips and those go past so fast since it pulls up songs I hate. It’s not great. It also when I leave the app, next time I’m in it just plops me not on the song I left off on but the song like 10 songs back which is sooo annoying sometimes. That’s all thanks. PLEASE FIX THESE.

  • Timely

I have listened to CBS 880AM News Radio for many years. I (and I’m sure many other listeners) rely on the broadcast for accurate time references, while I’m doing other things.
With the app, there is always a small time delay. It is inconsistent, so it is impossible to accurately compensate for. More significant for me, is that when segments of the broadcast are repeated, any time references are not deleted, so the inaccuracy can be hours. It can be frustrating. Also, when listening, to “Live” broadcasts, the app stops the broadcast at the end of a segment, and I have to restart. It is inconvenient and often not practical. Is there a way to allow the broadcast to continue indefinitely, so it doesn’t have to be restarted?
Other than those issues, I find the broadcasts informative, and I appreciate the material and the personalities. Correcting these issues could make the app near perfect. Thanks!
