For a subscription app a lot of basic functionality is missing. For me the biggest issue is you cannot block a song, or keep it out of specific playlists. The “hide song” simply skips now but the song will reappear frequently. Given I use the app in different settings - I want to be able to block specific songs as inappropriate in my household/workplace etc without reporting a song - there’s a lot of music that isn’t appropriate in all settings but shouldn’t be censored.
The app also lacks contextualisation when “playing songs for you”. So you get music from entirely different genres popping up the moment a playlist finishes - rather than music related to the style of music being played. This is annoying at best, and problematic if the music is inappropriate in that setting (around children, in a workplace etc).
the app is really good. you can find almost any music, make a playlist with it. the app will even select playlists for you based on your musical preferences. you can also find the lyrics in the app, which is quite rare for other apps. you can create a shared playlist with a friend and then the app will select new playlists for you based on your shared musical tastes. at the end of the month you can see which songs you listened to most often. the only downside is that you have to buy a subscription to listen to the app without the internet, but this downside is outweighed by all the advantages. great app, i recommend it to everyone!
приложение действительно хорошее. можно найти практически любую музыку, составить с ней плейлист. приложение даже будет само подбирать вам плейлисты на основе ваших музыкальных предпочтений. так же в приложении можно найти и сам текст песни, что достаточно редкое явление для других приложений. можно создать общий плейлист вместе с другом и тогда приложение будет подбирать вам новые плейлисты на основе ваших общих музыкальных вкусах. в конце месяца можно посмотреть, какие песни вы чаще всего слушали. единственный минус - чтобы слушать приложение без интернета надо покупать подписку, но этот минус гаснет на фоне всех плюсов. отличное приложение, всем рекомендую!

I got this app thinking it was going to be fun to finally get an free app to listen to music on, but I was obviously wrong. With premium trial everything is great and I loved it, but I don’t have money for premium and once the trial ended I was met with constant shuffle mode on all of my playlists except favorited songs, in my likes or favorite songs it plays random songs and I can’t listen to the songs I choose even with me meeting the 15 songs so there are only the song I want to listen too, adds after every song, only 6 song skips per hour, not being able to select the songs you want to listen to, your not even able to restart a song after the 6 song skips are done, and many more restrictions.
Now I understand that with the free option there are adds, and other restrictions as with all apps when you use the free versions, also the random songs are just song suggestions, but I don’t understand why I can’t just listen to a specific song or start with a specific song I want in the moment. They are basically making it to where people either get so frustrated they get premium, or uninstall all together.
Once again I will say premium and up are pretty nice and I have no complaints, but it just doesn’t make sense why the free version can’t have basic things like the ability to not be on shuffle, to select a specific song to start with or even to listen to on repeat.
Look, this app is amazing. It has a LOT of songs, and it’s a place to discover a bunch of new ones; but like all great things, it has its downsides.
One, lyrics are locked/never working. 😬 Everytime I try to listen to a song and I press lyrics, at always says to come back later and try again. I thought it was a problem for just a bit, but then others are havi the same experience too. Turns out, lyrics are now only accessible through premium! This is completely outraging, especially having to be able to use lyrics in the past. Everyone around the internet is also upset, I think it was a poor choice as a good company.
Two, recent crashes. Since Tuesday, this app has been crashing on everyone.😕 As soon as I open the app, it instantly closes itself. It fixes itself for about 10 minutes, then goes back to not wanting to play music. It is extremely upsetting and annoying for the billions of users trying to listen to music!
Three, The ability to put whatever pictures on public playlists. A lot of people are abusing the ability to put their desired photos on their playlists for everyone to see. I’ve seen several people’s 🍆 pics on a playlist. There are also accounts that are especially made to post h*ntai and other very explicit things.
This app is a mess, period. It’s recommended to people that can pay for premium. 🙁
Adding to my library takes much longer than before because before I could just press a heart next to the song as it played or swipe right on the title to add it to my liked songs. Now whenever I do either of the two (the plus at the bottom on now playing screen or swiping right on a song title ) it pulls up another menu that shows me my liked songs but also all my other playlists with green checks next to where it is added and I have to manually add it to the liked playlist if not there. It’s just not as seamless as before . I also feel that the plus sign on the now playing screen is misleading because as long as it’s in any playlist, it will appear solid green to indicate that it is saved; but in order to see if I’ve liked it or not I have to press on it, pulling up the list of all my playlists; sometimes just to see that I have already liked it, and having then wasted about 4 seconds of doing things on the app for 0 results. But the reason I had to check in the first place is because the green plus could mean it’s saved anywhere ; but I specifically want this song in my likes so now I have to check where before the solid heart immediately let me know I had liked the song (in one tap) .
Other reviewers addressed glitches, I’ve noticed a few here and there but overall I use the app daily and enjoy it very much. I just want likes to be simple again mostly .
So I swear this app is having a stroke because I’ll put on a song and it will play normally for the first three seconds and then it will slow down dramatically and then speed up randomly but never go back to the normal pace. I tried playing different songs because it originally started doing this after I opened the app and started playing the first song so I tried at least five other songs and they all did it as well. I have no idea how to fix this or why it’s happening. Apparently it does this on adds as well because after I sent the first review I started playing around with my songs and it did it for the adds too. Great.

May I also add that it always plays my playlist in a random order and it doesn’t give me a choice unless I get premium. On top of that, when I try to skip to find my favorite song, it randomly stops me from skipping a song, and I literally last for a day. And if it’s a song I don’t feel like listening to, it makes me frustrated, and so I have to listen to the whole thing. It also doesn’t let me replay a part anymore. I don’t know if when I first got the app it was like a showcase of premium or an update or something like that. But if you can, please at least fix the skipping and the replay option. Overall, great app. I really suggest you try it out.
Edit 1: ok so I got a notification where I get 6 skips an hour…explanation please? I kind of find it a waste of time having limited skips, but could there be at least just a little more, like 8 maybe idk.
Edit two: I don’t really get bothered by the 6 skips a hour, but could u make it like maybe each hour when ur actually on the app it adds to ur 6 skips u got? U probably won’t but it’s fine. Also it’s kinda annoying that you can’t go back to ur fav song.
