Favorite app ever
I personally love this app. I have had it for over 4 years, and it’s been an app I use daily. If you are thinking about getting it, for sure get the Premium plan, no ads, endless skipping of songs, shuffle play, and a good amount of more things. One thing I will say is frustrating is the constant change of the like button to songs, they removed the heart for whatever reason and with that they made adding a song to a playlist but not your liked songs a lot harder, with a drop down feature you have to scroll down to find the playlist you want. I will say that I love that you can get to choose if you want your playlists public or not because let's be honest some playlists do not need to see the light of day but can still be enjoyed in peace. I also like what they did with the front page, being able to just swipe right to click onto our profile and access our settings much easier. My most favorite feature that might not be new but I did just discover, is on that same page where we access the settings and our profile there is this “Recents” tab where you can go and see all of the songs you’ve listened to and the amount of times I’ve used it to find a song I liked in someone else's playlist, or a podcast episode I was listening to but didn’t save, my lord I love that feature so much. But overall it’s a really good app and something that if you get it, it will be used in your daily life if you are a fanatic music listener.

In the guy who “campaigned on” (suggested) *the problem* which led to liked songs banner. I’ve suggested more features the past. Sorry if Im making the devs work. So take this seriously. There’s a liked songs vs playlist war. You didn’t select a lane in the beginning so we need this feature: ((add all songs in playlist to liked songs so they can appear in a banner))
So however users use liked and playlist it can suit everyone. I liked the auto-add to liked songs when adding to playlist but that might f with some users? I dont know. Assuming there’s a valid reason it was removed.

Needs Quality of Life Updates
I’ve been using this app since I was in 7th grade I’m 23 now and I have to admit after years of ignoring the growing amount of bugs and lack of real “updates” it’s time to address these issues. The lyrics were introduced years ago and still there are songs that have to wait very long for the lyrics or have none at all I find it rediculous that a full scale genius powered lyrics feature has not been introduced at this point when Apple Music has been ahead with this feature for years now. Another issue is with shuffle it has increasingly gotten worse over the years but now it makes listening to your playlist almost unbearable. You will listen to an artist and then 3 more songs from that said artist will pop up back to back to back in the queue. Why is that happening in a playlist with 150+ songs? The other thing that tends to happen often is replaying the same song/songs over and over despite reshuffling or restarting the app. Why am I hearing the same song 3 times before more playlist has played all the way through?? I admit I’m too stubborn to make a switch to Apple Music because this app has been so good for so long but these issues have got to get fixed. Hope to see a change 🙏🏽

Please stop changing the UI for gods sake
i’ve been a premium user for a years now, the only reason i’ve stayed that way is because of my catalog of songs/playlists i have. The constant useless changes like removing the “heart” feature, now automatically adding any song to your likes and you have to manually go in after the automatic like to add to your playlist. And if you want to add a song already in your playlists to your likes, you have to go in the cluttered and long drop down menu. Then getting rid of the scroll feature on your liked songs that showed the dates. These changes were for no reason and were small but make the app so much more uncomfortable and annoying to use. I loved being able to go back and see what songs i liked in certain periods of times in the 7 years i’ve had my account. But now the main reason I added songs to my likes is gone for no reason at all! On top of everything, they’re trying to make the app like tiktok like every other app out there and are shoving automatic shuffle/AI down our throats. For an app that’s only tolerable if you pay for it, y’all are sure making the experience worse and have been for a while. If you’re just barely making a music streaming account/subscribing to a music streaming service, choose apple music. It’s 3 stars because i like the aspect of having your own profile and being able to find other peoples playlists really easy - i’ve discovered a lot of new music before they changed the way radios were formed.

Repeatedly plays music you hide
For a subscription app a lot of basic functionality is missing. For me the biggest issue is you cannot block a song, or keep it out of specific playlists. The “hide song” simply skips now but the song will reappear frequently. Given I use the app in different settings - I want to be able to block specific songs as inappropriate in my household/workplace etc without reporting a song - there’s a lot of music that isn’t appropriate in all settings but shouldn’t be censored.
The app also lacks contextualisation when “playing songs for you”. So you get music from entirely different genres popping up the moment a playlist finishes - rather than music related to the style of music being played. This is annoying at best, and problematic if the music is inappropriate in that setting (around children, in a workplace etc).

the app is really good. you can find almost any music, make a playlist with it. the app will even select playlists for you based on your musical preferences. you can also find the lyrics in the app, which is quite rare for other apps. you can create a shared playlist with a friend and then the app will select new playlists for you based on your shared musical tastes. at the end of the month you can see which songs you listened to most often. the only downside is that you have to buy a subscription to listen to the app without the internet, but this downside is outweighed by all the advantages. great app, i recommend it to everyone!

I love it. It’s the best thing I ever like ever had and like it it has all these songs that I want and it’s the best like you can sing it with it like like technically like almost my whole entire world for me. It is the best either way if I’m a child I like it I like it, bro, the Diabla and all that bro it also has songs that I want all these songs and the best thing whoever made the best people the other ones the other things that you have like they put in all that well. I do not like those I do not like those I like them like I like this one this one I like this one that’s all whoever made this. I bet you got a lot of money. This is the best thing I ever heard in my life has everything I need either way I can even listen to my AirPods, whatever I can listen everywhere, don’t even this thing on my TV and I don’t know how I feel you. It’s the best thing I ever had. You can turn off your phone and you can still hear it. It’s the best I can’t even say thank you cause it’s the best. I’m sorry to read all this, but I love you. You are unbelievable.
Review? You want a review? Well I’ll give you one! Lemme tell you, you tricked everyone by saying that u added a new feature called smart shuffle but what u didn’t tell them, is that u can’t TURN IT OFF! With the new update you removed the ability to listen to our favourite parts of the Song, go to the previous song, the lyrics were removed and you added a whole lot of ADS! there are now, not one, but TWO unskippable 30 SECOND ADS! And a few teasing us, asking us if we want the old features back and telling us to get premium to have the features! I mean come on man, how can we trust this if u literally say “enjoy 30 minutes of uninterrupted listening after this ad” and then give us two 30 sec ads after just two songs! If u don’t fix this or if u go down one more time, this app will be banished from my life!

After premium trial there is too much restriction…
I got this app thinking it was going to be fun to finally get an free app to listen to music on, but I was obviously wrong. With premium trial everything is great and I loved it, but I don’t have money for premium and once the trial ended I was met with constant shuffle mode on all of my playlists except favorited songs, in my likes or favorite songs it plays random songs and I can’t listen to the songs I choose even with me meeting the 15 songs so there are only the song I want to listen too, adds after every song, only 6 song skips per hour, not being able to select the songs you want to listen to, your not even able to restart a song after the 6 song skips are done, and many more restrictions.
Now I understand that with the free option there are adds, and other restrictions as with all apps when you use the free versions, also the random songs are just song suggestions, but I don’t understand why I can’t just listen to a specific song or start with a specific song I want in the moment. They are basically making it to where people either get so frustrated they get premium, or uninstall all together.
Once again I will say premium and up are pretty nice and I have no complaints, but it just doesn’t make sense why the free version can’t have basic things like the ability to not be on shuffle, to select a specific song to start with or even to listen to on repeat.

Great! Just… unable to use without premium.
Look, this app is amazing. It has a LOT of songs, and it’s a place to discover a bunch of new ones; but like all great things, it has its downsides.
One, lyrics are locked/never working. 😬 Everytime I try to listen to a song and I press lyrics, at always says to come back later and try again. I thought it was a problem for just a bit, but then others are havi the same experience too. Turns out, lyrics are now only accessible through premium! This is completely outraging, especially having to be able to use lyrics in the past. Everyone around the internet is also upset, I think it was a poor choice as a good company.
Two, recent crashes. Since Tuesday, this app has been crashing on everyone.😕 As soon as I open the app, it instantly closes itself. It fixes itself for about 10 minutes, then goes back to not wanting to play music. It is extremely upsetting and annoying for the billions of users trying to listen to music!
Three, The ability to put whatever pictures on public playlists. A lot of people are abusing the ability to put their desired photos on their playlists for everyone to see. I’ve seen several people’s 🍆 pics on a playlist. There are also accounts that are especially made to post h*ntai and other very explicit things.
This app is a mess, period. It’s recommended to people that can pay for premium. 🙁
