Great Tool but falls short testing AirPrint Issuse
I purchased this tool to test network's ability to use Bonjour printer for iOS. It does list the Bonjour name but even on printers that do not support AirPrint.
I have run into issues where a Router has a bug in Bonjour Protocol, and this tool won't help me identify where AirPrint fails. It displays Bonjour host name on a Brother 8840DN printer which is not AirPrint compatible, so it is misleading.
I was hoping to to do an analysis on why AirPrint is failing. Also, I ran into a problem where a camera had the wrong gateway address setup in it's static IP, which prevented me from Port Forwarding Router to the camera. The camera worked fine on internal network but scan did not reveal any potential issue with camera setting.
I would like to see an enhancement where more detail about how a host is configured.
I like the Port Scan feature and Whois. But I still feel like I'm on the outside looking when I come in cold on a network that has been setup by somebody else, and there are problems. Other than these issues, it's the best iOS scanner out there!Show lessSierraTech
Few things needed
It needs to work in background mode. Or at the very least pause and resume if you switch apps. As it is now.. If you are in the middle of a large scan and you switch to another app, the scan stops and you have to restart it again from the beginning. Also, it would be nice to be able to see what its finding as it scans. you have to wait until its done to see any results. And if you stop it... It doesn't show any results from what it scanned so far.. So it needs work..Show lessCaldwellone

Perfect network tool
Have been using this app since version 1.0. This is a great tool for a comprehensive look at your network. I have used this for my home network but more importantly take it to clients homes to diagnose network issues while working in the field. This app has never failed me and I appreciate the work that has been put into it.
I do have to comment on the other reviews though. Yes, some would say this is a complicated app to use but, for someone that is in the network business this app is extremely simple to utilize all the features. My conclusion, if your not a sysadmin or network technician, you shouldn't be using apps like this and especially not making negative reviews about the app because you dont understand the terminology and features and you don't understand the purpose of, or how they work.

I got this app to support the developer because I couldn't believe how much I used Commander Compass Lite while on a cruise. I figured this app would be good too. I find I now use this one for little things like finding the IP address for DHCP devices at home or validating things are online. This app is the real deal, not just cosmetic. If you are a little familiar with networks/networking, there are many uses for several features.Show lessGJK8
