  • Very good even in low light conditions

After testing a number of Business Card scanner apps, i was dubious about buying this one, however generally it is a great app. The issues i did find was that the app doesn't like cards that have coloured background such as a black back ground or some more of the stylist cards getting around at the moment. Normal business cards that are black on white work 100% of the time. Others with lots of images, or script style writing can be a little problematic, however they do work. All in all this is worth the money as it will save you the time and that is the $$$

  • Better than you think possible

I have the 3Gs. In poor light it doesn't work (and it says so in the instructions!). But if you use it in good light and focus carefully the results are very accurate and this includes trying to read cards with a mix of Chinese and western characters. Don't bother to edit on the phone; wait until it is in Address book or Entourage and do it there. Well done guys this is a clever and worthwhile app.

  • Surprisingly accurate

On 3Gs, managed pretty good (not perfect) accuracy even with pretty ordinary user-inkjet-printed card in 5-point type! Given all the ways that card designers use to locate and name their printed fields, does quit a good job of puuting the right data in the right iPhone fields...though the OS3 cut-n-paste is occasionally required to move something to the right place. Overall good...pay attention to the need for GOOD LIGHT to take the photo.

  • Gutted

This is the first review I have given, and I hope it's read by iPhone 3g owners and this apps dev team. What a waste of money! If it works for 3GS then fine but i was given the impression it would work on my 3G, it doesn't. You cannot improve on image enhancement with the dev team suggested apps as they don't exist, also no cam app can sharpen or enhance the card image enough for the scan to works as again suggested by the dev team.

I feel as thought I have been falsely led, I want my money back, unless an update or significant improvement provided to this app!

Shame as this could have been a truly time saving and useful app!

  • Extraordinary

I've wanted something like this for years: I get loads of business cards, and, unless I enter them in my address book, I may as well not have had them. Now I have this, and, gradually, my pile of business cards is becoming a set of records on my iPhone and Mac.
It's surprisingly intelligent, recognising white on black text, and making a good stab at logos, and also generally getting the numbers and the names in the right place. If you're not happy, you can review the card later or cut/copy/paste from the full text which is stored.
You need good light for this app -- daylight is by far the best. Not many problems using it, whereas a desk lamp at night really is nowhere near as good.
Strongly recommended, if you use your iPhone for business.

  • Great app - works really well

I have used this with only one card failing at present and I think that was because I had it upside down. I have used coloured card, in niormal light. I am using a 3GsS iphone and it scans well and then saves as a card and I can import into address book. So far nearly 100% success. I have used cards with pen on them, coloured fonts and different styles. All fine. Well done.

  • Best app

Not sure what some people are useing, but with an iphone 3gs this app works perfectly every time. The only problem I've had is with poorly printed business cards. Every clear business card I've used has worked fine. Love it, my favorate app. Well done to the makers of this, worth the money.
  • mr

Well thought about it for about a week and perhaps should of svaed my money, struggles with basic details turns T into + muddles address and to date I havent had one card accurate to even 80% of the details.....perhaps we just arent their with the technology yet?? Good try but poor excecution
  • Great recognition - poor address formatting

I think the title of the review sums it up - 'Great recognition - poor address formatting.'

I scanned a couple of cards I really thought it would struggle with, having small font quite cramped. But it worked well. I only had to make a couple of corrections, and minor ones at that.
The address doesn't even separate out the postcode. I can understand that rest of address format might be difficult to process, but the postcode shouldn't be.

  • Very cool

Text recognition could be a little better regarding things (like thinking emails can start with a comma)

One pet peeve - if the business card is in all caps, it doesn't change anything to lower case...
