At the moment, I'd say a little overpriced
3 stars because the videos don't stay downloaded on my iPad. I've redownloaded them multiple times sometimes they stay and sometimes they show up as needing to be downloaded again.
Also, it would be great if it had some common treatment techniques for common pathologies (such as hip MWM for hip OA patients)
Will give 4 stars when my videos stay downloaded. 5 stars if they begin to add some treatment approaches!

OK but disappointing
On the positive side the tests are easy to find and well described and demonstrated. On the negative, we have no discussion content on the tests: ie this test is associated with a C5 nerve root compression. Only that he test can be positive for a non-specific radiculopathy. When we include trigger point referal, any information we gain from these tests becomes very non-specific for a specific diagnosis. This is a general orthopedic testing program at best which leaves me very disappointed because I was expecting better information on testing in more practical terms. Who has time to read through all these statistics. Just give me the short version. A place to write my own notes would be an improvement as well as more specific guide to referal patterns & root level involvement. Suggestions for further testing would also be useful. After all we are paying $40 for what? I can look all these tests up in my orthopedic textbook. Just to be fair, I do see a lot of potential in this program with re-design. I like the layout and ease of searching. I just want the maker to improve this and I would be more than happy to leave a glowing review.

Anatomy anyone?
I was a licensed PT for 2 years and I am currently a medical student. I bought this app today because of a patient presenting with vague new onset ankle sxs without instability. Thinking of the posterior tibialis tendon I looked it up on CORE which had a special test for the PTT. The purpose section states that the PTT runs posteriorally to the lateral malleolous... As my first encounter with this app yielded false information regarding ANATOMY, I am pursuing a full refund ASAP. I am not saying there is no value to the information provided in this app, but I cannot trust an app that cannot get the fundamentals correct and I don't think any clinician should. Besides all "clinically relevant technology" videos are on you tube.

Easy to use reference for clinicians
Most clinicians will already have their go to tests down, but this app has all of those and then some. This is a wonderful application for new clinicians to review the tests on the go as well as for students studying for the boards. This application gives the situations for when to best use the tests as well as evidence behind the tests. There are even videos to look at to review. Great app!

Great resource
Most who download this will already have their usual exam tests down. This gives a variety of tests with video and evidence (when available) to help me find a new test to integrate into my exam or use when a diagnosis is unclear. Organized, convenient and efficient!
A great application that is now even better
This app has been around a year now and continues to get better and better. The new iPad version provides an easy to use interface and the video quality looks great on the full screen. More tests continue to get added to this already comprehensive compendium. This app remains one of my most frequently used on my phone for clinical practice as well as teaching. I'll likely utilize this even more now that the iPad version is
There is simply nothing else like this out there and CORE continues to set the standard for evidence-based orthopaedic apps.

For $40, Needs WiFi to view videos
Great text content on app, as are the other 3 Clinically Relevant Apps I own, but needs Wifi to view videos which is unlike their other apps. Not very usefully for learning and reviewing if not in a WiFi zone, esp. for $40.00! Disappointed, should have read more carefully first, won't have bought it if I knew that was the case. With standalone video, would rate it 5/5 and highly recommend, but only get's a 2/5.

Excellent Clinical Resource
Excellent clinical tool for discerning appropriate tests and measures in the clinic or reviewing outside. There is good structural organization by body region and clinical categories. Comprehensive explanations are provided via text and high quality demonstrative videos are linked. Supportive literature is provided for each test when available and evidence based tutorials and keys are provided for the novice EBP clinician. The number of tests can be a bit overwhelming, however, with minimal effort at looking at the available properties it is easy to select the most valuable procedures. There is an easy favorite tag feature to short-cup to commonly used tests or ones of special interest.
Excellent resource for any clinician working with musculoskeletal complaints at all levels.

Waste of money
I've never spent this much money on an app before, but after reading the great reviews decided to go for it.
All of the maneuvers are on You Tube. So just search for CRTechnologies and save yourself $40.
As a primary care provider, I personally think there are way too many maneuvers to sort through. There are so many tests to sort through without much direction to quickly decide which are best for your patient.
If there were some sort of algorithm for quickly figuring out which special tests to perform if a patient has say neck pain radiating down the arm with numbness, that would be more relevant to me.
If you are an orthopedic specialist and have extra cash to spend for a slightly more organized version of what you can find for free on You Tube, then go for it. Otherwise, save your money.

Must Have
FYI - I use this app on my iPhone.
If you are a medical professional with a smart phone who treats patients with orthopedic conditions, you will love this app. It is a concise, user-friendly application that provides detailed information about diagnostic special tests. The links to information on the tests' psychometric properties and the videos on how to perform the tests are what really make this app fantastic. There's no more wondering how good a special test is or if you're doing it the right way. With this app, you will have that information in the palm of your hand.
I have shown this app to all of my colleagues who have all been blown away at the detailed information you get.
If you are concerned about the price, consider the cost equivalent to purchasing a text. However, textbooks are cumbersome, outdated, and more expensive. This app will provide you better and more up-to-date information.
