Good app.....but
Works great most of the time, however it takes too long to access account sometimes.
iPad use
First, there are no instructions that I could find for setting up the app. Then, in an enternal chat session I find that one can only have 2 mobile devices on the esecure system. I have 2 cell phones already on the system. So to add the iPad, I have to delete one cell phone account. To figure all one must to go online and do it through ProtectionOne/esecure/ManageMobile, by the way. Nothing intuitive! I was not willing to delete a cell phone from the system, so the iPad is not useful. (If one of my cell phones was an iPhone, I might do that; but neither is.) ProtectionOne needs to enable the addition of more than 2 mobile devices! My iPad is not 3G, so it is not useful enough to delete a cell phone that has full access rather than just access at wi-fe hotspots. Good luck trying to figure all this out! It will work as an app if you have only one other device on the plan. In today's world, everyone in a household has a mobile phone (and probably several other mobile devices!). ProtectionOne's system was good for a time in the past....sort of like having a one-car garage for a family home and thinking that is, woo-hoo, way modern! They need to update their system for the way customers live in 2010.

Awesome app!
I love being able to control my alarm system from my phone, from anywhere as long as I have Internet access (Edge, 3G or Wi-Fi).

Needs to upload alot faster. I mean alot faster. 30 seconds is entirely to long to upload.

Great App!!! I went with Protection One because of this app. It's nice to be able to check to make sure I or the family set the alarm and know when the kids get home.
only for Protection One
this app works only for Protection One Security Systems, so don't waste time downloading a app that won't work with your security system. Nice idea though.
Great App for Protection One systems!
Anyone who gave this a poor rating is probably working for the competition. iPhone featured this app in their recent print ads in Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Time, Newsweek ... yes, you need a Protection One system. This app gives me total AWARNESS of my home security when I'm on the road. I know my family is tucked in at night when I see the email pop up ... I see when the kids get home from school and can log on to my eSecure video cam to check on them. THAT'S peace of mind.

Must have esecure account.
I am sure this would be great app; however, if you do not have a full esecure account then the app is useless. I have a basic home monitoring plan. To add esecure you must add the cellular service (+149 install) and an extra $20 per month for service. $45 a month for alarm service on my Iphone is not worth it to me.....
