Still the best and most relevant!
I’ve been using Hipstamatic for seven or eight (maybe nine?) years. It’s helped me take original and amazing photos from all around the world (literally). It never gets old, you have limitless possibilities by combining film, lenses, and “flashes”.
Hipstamatic constantly releases updated “hipstapaks” for just a few bucks: new film types and lenses for even more creativity.
There are prints in my home people inquire about. Who was the photographer? Where did you buy that? Very often they’re inquiring about photos taken with hipstamatic.

Great Product, Great Customer Service!
This is a terrific app for taking a good photo and making it something really special. It's a delight for those of us who enjoy tweaking images, bringing out subtlety or really mangling something.
Sure, you can do a lot to give an image a certain retro look, but the amount of control makes Hipstamatic something much more than that. Often, I find myself adding just a splash of field depth or making fine curve adjustments.
Of course, all the lenses, films, and so on make for great inspiration as well.
As for the customer service, I recently had an issue with a purchase and they responded immediately. They straightened everything right out quickly and kindly. Thanks!Show lesskgmessier
Solid 5 star review with one request
Thank you for soldiering on with this app. I was introduced to it by Denmark’s most celebrated photo journalist, who raves about it. I’ve been In love ever since. The only suggestion I have, along with at least one other reviewer, is that there is a feature overload. Make some choices for us and/or make it easier to navigate. I trust your aesthetic and would use the app more often if I didn’t get overwhelmed so much. With this said, I love the app and it deserves a full five stars. Screw Instagram.Show lessLisa Lefebvre
Amazing App for Amateurs and Pros alike!!
I’m an amateur you photographer to the max, but Hipstamatic has helped me take photographer level pictures!!! I’ve used this app for family pictures and then edited them in the app. I also use VSCO, and I will only ever use those two. The best and most fun camera app!
How can I count the number of ways in which this app is awesome? The infinite number of ways to customize photos? All the super duper (and reasonably priced) Hipsta paks from which to choose? The nifty Xmas freebies? The efficient and fabulous support team (thanks, Allan!)? Now that the glitches of a month or so ago have been solved, this app is perfect again. I’ve been using this app since...
Before the Dali pak was first available and I love it. I enjoy the insane amount of options they have added. But most of all, I love their support. Allen is the best(cheers,;)). He has helped me with many any issue. I still wish they would bring back the original disposable version. That was my absolute favorite app ever. Allen helped console me through my abandonment issues. You’ll know it’s him, because of the “cheers”. For some reason that instantly “cheers” me up. He definitely keeps me here.

CRASHES ALL THE TIME!!!
I used to LOVE this app. Now it only works sometimes. When I says “works” I really mean “saves”. In work mode it’s fine. I’m able to get everything done, but then when I go to SAVE it, it crashes....MOST of the time. Every now and then it will say or I’ll just do a screen capture as it’s trying to save. Very sad. This used to be my favorite, and now it’s the worst. Fix it and I’ll give it 5 stars, gladly. I WANT this to go back to being the great app it used to be. I don’t want it to fail, as it has done thus far. I’m not going to use it for a while until it gets fixed.Show lessonthecomeup
Terrific Customer Service!
I’ve been using and enjoying creating imagery with Hipstamatic since 2010, when I first discovered the app while leading a photo tour in Morocco. What originally drew me to the app was the look and feel it had like a separate and unique camera, and the unpredictability and fun of pairing the many different lenses and films. So I was very disappointed when I started experiencing continued crashing over the past months.
I first contacted Hipstamatic Support in early August and received an immediate reply from Allan. He asked a lot of questions and then, had me do a few tests, and also had me send him some diagnostic information, which he then passed on with a log I sent him, to Hipstamatic developer, Ryan, for investigation.
We communicated regularly over the next month, with Allan keeping me up to date on the progress they were making with the crashing issue. In late September, Allan wrote that they had an update to Hipstamatic that was in beta testing and told me that as soon as that new version was fully tested, it would be sent to Apple for approval. He said they hoped to have the update out soon. And now, with the update to Hipstamatic Version 352, it appears that this problem is solved!

Hands down, the best app for your iPhone! Have been a long time user, since the iPhone 4, and it still remains my #1! The care, and tutelage the developers give this app on a CONSTANT basis is bar none. No one even comes close to the perfection of this app! developers are attentive, now looking for more features
so I posted a review a few months ago about a glitch I was experiencing with the app, I received an email promptly from the development team asking specific questions about the problem and they were very attentive. I was impressed by the level of care with which they addressed the issue.
now I am wondering, is it possible to add a self timer feature? or maybe an apple watch extension so you can take a picture from the watch? it would be nice to take group pictures and selfies from farther away.Show lessDreamlandia
