I bought this table with high hopes and, like many, I was overwhelmed at first, and not in the good way. However, it's grown on me. It's certainly very fun, the challenges and complexity make me want to keep coming back, and I'm a sucker for a lot of ramps/tracks/rails. Runs super smoothly on my old 2G as well.

I hope Gameprom keeps up this trend of complex and interesting tables. And remember, lots of ramps and rails!

Only thing I can think to complain about is the accelerometer-controlled view. It makes it so I can't play lying down in my bed. An option to turn this feature off would be appreciated.

  • Too Difficult

I had high hopes for this game after playing the two previous releases, but although the graphics and motion are both excellent, game play leaves something to be desired. It's seems nearly impossible to activate Big Kong; everytime you're close to lowering the fortress you either loss your ball on the sides or get a key which resets Big Kong: very frustrating, I haven't managed it even once. The same can be said with the golden ball and the airplane; it makes no sense. I've been in the plane by accident a couple of times but have never released the golden ball. Please explain the game better and make it easier to finish the tasks. I'll be excited for an update, until the I'll be going back to The Deep!

  • Top Game!

Great Pinball App, lots going on, fast solid framerate, nice 3d view that changes as you tilt the device. Bargain at the price!
  • Visually stunning. Difficult to play.

The programmers at Gameprom are very talented. They also know pinball. The problem with this game is that it is very difficult and there is insufficient documentation about how to access the special features of the table. I have never activated the Big Kong or received the golden ball. The upper left flipper is useless. How to use the "keys" is not clear. Important areas of the table are obscured, such as the targets that close the left and right drains.

Wild West was too simple. This one is too difficult. The Deep has the best balance.

Just like real tables, some are good, some are not. At least the programmers can tweak these virtual tables. You can do that with a physical table.

  • Great, But Not Fun!

To look at the screen with 3D preview makes this company get an A+ for the Wow factor. However, when in game play the 2D - with partial 3D looks confusing. Without instructions every aspect is surprising and the surprising is far and few between, thus loses it's fun factor. For the causal player the ball is sent to easily to a lose. Points are hard to make and the clunking sound gets really annoying. Also, the ball is sent to the Big Kong hole to many times to not count for anything. At times I have seen the ball make a fast shot out of the blue and make a right angle turn to the center of the flappers. For most people this game is very frustrating and in Apple's favor the iPhone or iTouch gets tossed and smashed - a perfect partnership. Is it fun? "NO"

  • Best pinball

Managed to capture the real feel of a modern day pinball table. This table is not conventional. But still has all the multilevel aspects a real table has. Get "The Deep" one if you're not sure
  • Good

A decent pinball game, the trapped feature is a real pain and th lack of instruction on what does what during the floating demo is annoying, needs some instructions to increase enjoyabilty straight away
  • Good but fussy

Gameprom are really good at putting together a great pinball machine. Their other two previous offerings of 'Wild West' and 'The Deep' had a natural progression of increasingly sophisticated graphics but not at the expense of gameplay. My expectations of this then, their latest creation, were naturally high. Unfortunately, I find it overly fussy and complex - the graphics cloud the issue for me as you can hardly see what's going on. I also find the gameplay too fast. I think simplicity has its own rewards and in this case less would have been preferable to more. I would also like to see a return to a points system of scoring rather than a monetary system ie. dollar. Tying it to the US dollar makes the game too region specific.

  • Nearly the best yet but needs work...

This is really the best pinball game yet in the series! However, the side ball gulleys are far too easy to lose your ball down making game play less than satisfactory. It worked perfectly in the deep but just isn't right in this edition. For that reason my rating has dropped a star. Put this right in an update and it's more than worthy of a full 5 gold stars!

  • Best pinball game available in the app store

I've been looking for a solid pinball game since the iphone came out. Wild wild west and the deep were close but lacked the depth you find in modern pinball games (multiball, bonuses, many stages/goals) and this game gets better. It could use a little more polish and maybe some more lights goin on. One thing it really needs is some guidelines or directions for what you are actually trying to accomplish through out the game. Playing thus far, i've just been trying to rack up the highest score and have been randomly getting things or getting the maze to move, all you would need to do is update with a list of goals or maybe openfeint would be awesome. Either way this game will satisfy your pinball craving, a steal for 99 cents!
