Useless
Items, amounts, and expiration dates can be listed in this food inventory, but even though categories are listed and can be added and customized, and there are basic instructions for putting items into cateogries ('move item here'), it didn't work - I tried several times to sort items into categories but they never moved. I also found that, if I duplicated an item, and then deleted one of the entries, they both disappeared. There's no help file. As a straight list for keeping track of food stocks, this might work okay, but a spreadsheet or word processing document would be just as convenient and a spreadsheet has the advantage of being sortable. I deleted this after less than a day and will stick with a spreadsheet in the future.A Mom of Many

Needs more functionality
Would like categories - like in a grocery store - produce, canned goods, meats,etc. Would like to turn off the expiration notification. That's annoying. Would like to enter when the item was opened or purchased - especially for freezer items. Would like quantity field to be free form and not number only. Some things I want to know how much I have left by volume or weight. This app has potential but for what it does now, it should be free.Lisa in AZ

I am revising my previous review with the update. Giving the ability to sort alphabetically and expiration date is great.
With the ability to sort, this will do all I want it to. Now if the will add categories, let me choose the color to code my categories even, so I can group into, beans pastas, vegetables, fruit etc, and give the ability to sort within the categories it will be a five star app.
The show me recipes is a great feature.

Saves me from over-spending!!
Great app. Definitely worth it and helps me keep track of what I have in my fridge & pantry.
What would be nice: a place to include quantity of items on hand, separate from the item description.
Also ... option to 'file' item in a category. Like 'dairy' or 'meats' etc.
