  • Not able to connect with 14.4 iOS upgrade

Did the 14.4 upgrade and now notable to connect to any stations
  • Can't login? Turn off Dark Mode.

This is still a bug, no text shows up in the login boxes when phone is in Dark Mode.
  • Mac version

Is there a version for my Mac I have a radio EchoLink capable but no PC just a Mac?
  • So far so good!

I’ve been using echolink to drop in on nets that i can’t reach with my radio and it’s been pretty nice! echolink is a great little tool but it has its issues, if you guys could fix the screen resolution for the iphone x and fix network bugs it’d be the best ham radio app ever ! 73
  • Works less than 5% of the time

It would be a neat app if it worked. Unfortunately for the iPhone and iPad users it seems to only connect if there is someone already connected to a repeater via EchoLink (more testing will be done). I once spent more than an hour trying to connect. I never did get connected after trying 200 attempts. I know the repeater was active because I could hear people talking on the repeater from my rig on my desk (my rig can’t transmit right now much like this app).

I have tried direct, relay, public proxy almost no luck. I have tried to connect through the wifi in my home or though 4g cell phone towers still almost no luck.

I can connect to echo test repeater just fine every time.

If you load this app prepare to be disappointed. Devs need to add ads when opening the app to get the money together to fix this.

Even add advertisements before connecting to a new repeater. Whatever. As it stands it gets one star for almost never working.

  • A bit awkward

App and computer can be more seamless. Different symbols and appearances between the two.

The app’s map showed blue dots in China but many are US stations! A bug?

Another review indicated credit card.....not true in my case. Ham Operator license required...only requirement I know of.

    Developer Response

Validation rules vary by country, because licensing authorities and procedures vary by country. The credit card validation option is available only in the U.S. because it is one of the few countries that has a publicly-available database of licensing information.
  • White text in chat box

Good app, works well, love the map feature, but the text box for chat is yellow and the text shows up white so it’s basically unreadable. Far war I g ost connection issues are due to your router/firewall, after port forwarding to the devices I use EchoLink I have not had any issues connecting, iPad Pro, IOS 13.6 and on Mac + Windows 10

Thanks for the report. This issue with Dark Mode is now fixed in version 2.14.22.
  • What happened?

Had this for over two years and worked flawlessly, now I can only use the echo test . Also does not work with my iPad Pro . Phone is an iPhone 11 ver. 13.4.1 Maybe they are behind on updates .
  • Working fine

Running quite well on an iPhone 11 Pro. Any quirks are minor like Bluetooth, which takes total control of the paired device as if in a phone call. So if you’re connected to a node while in your car, actual phone calls and your CD player may be sent to the background as Bluetooth treats EchoLink as an active and ongoing phone call. No big deal as EchoLink works well across Bluetooth. LOVE the analog VU meter on transmit. As far as signing up to EchoLink as a whole is concerned, you need to just suck this up. DMR is the same. EchoLink delete all documents provided one week after your approval, so just be thankful that the rigid assessment and approval of ham licenses is proving to be a good document to have in proving who you are and keeping pirates off the ham bands and services. This service and the software is FREE with NO ads. How rare is that? Thank you to Echolink for your ongoing commitment.

  • Dodgy do not trust

Blacklist this app. Don’t download this or provide any details or documents. It sounds like this is a backyard 2 bit administrator. I would seriously be concerned releasing personal details. Customer service and politeness is also non existent.
