Wild flowers in your pocket
This is a very good app indeed. Although the database is centred in France, it seems to cover British wild flowers very well. However, even with 780 species described there will innevitably be omissions. For instance an immediate observation, within 100 metres of my home there are both forms of Shepherd's Purse equally represented, but Capsella rubella is missing from the list. Plants are well illustrated, with a centimeter scale placed below each photo in proportion to its size. The English language descriptions are very basic, and perhaps these could be expanded in a future version. There is an excellent identification Wizard to very quickly narrow down a choice of species. However, it would be very helpful if an A-Z index could be applied to the List presentation to more speedily access a plant name. Overall, I am very impressed by this app and consider it a good buy.Show lessJohnD9
Beautiful App!
I agree with the previous reviewers re the French/European basis of the App, but that IS how it's advertised, so we're all aware of this possibility. However, it really is a superbly made App with wonderful photos, and is a real joy to look through. Having said that I really am very surprised we haven't the chance to buy a BRITISH one of all the flowers we have. COME ON NATURE AUTHORS we NEED a BRITISH app as good as this one!!!Show lessSueWr

a good start
First impressions are of an elegant easy to use interface and a very useful identification key. Despite the title it is in English although there are some bits of Franglais adn the English text is a bit reduced compared to the French. Could use distribution maps but a great start. I have no doubt that there will soon be better guides but in the meantime this will do.Show lesschrisdw
