  • Disappointing...

For all the hype surrounding this app, I was expecting more clever or unique animations, there are almost no sounds throughout the book...and there's no Read to Me, which frustrates my toddler who loves to read it "by herself". Wouldn't buy it again, check out Black Crow entertainment books like Peter Rabbit and the Boynton titles...much better for kids. Only redeeming quality of this book are the beautiful and eerie illustrations, but that appeals to me, not my daughter, who I bought the app for.

  • Overpriced

Kids did not like it. They fund it boring. Take a look at Peter rabbit book.
  • NOT AS GOOD AS...

Where exactly are the 250 pages? I can't access beyond the 52!
  • Room for improvements

I enjoyed this, the illustration style was decent could have been better but we don't have much choice yet regrading various digital version in this new form or media so yeah. What i found lacking was sound effects, why go part way there? motion of graphics is great but sounds would have been nice along with audio reading of the book with a few choices of vocal talents. Developers need to push all angles if they want consumers to fork over the cash for such media, sounds for page turning and let the user set preferences and toggle them off for battery conservation if the battery is running low etc.

This is good work and i love it for what it is but there IS ROOM for improvements.

  • Its decent

I really do like this app, but there aren't nearly enough interactive/moving pages to make it worth $8.99.
  • This is iBooks for iPad

This is the book the they were talking about when when someone said lets make an iPad book. This is a book for all ages. Young and young at heart (corny but true). Get this to show off what the iPad is capable of and to show others what an iBook is supposed to be on the iPad.
  • App with potential

Very good story App but very weak interactivity and the fact that their is not a play option with highlighting of the words is a bad oversight especially for this price.
  • Can't select chapter

It would have been good to be able to jump to a specific chapter in the book from the chapter index.
If you go to index icon, a display of 4 pages is shown and you have to scroll through them looking for a specific page.
Also the index only contains page numbers, and there is no indication in this display to show start of each chapter.

  • A creative Book

This is an exceptional, creative book, allowing the reader to interact with the pages and characters. However, I purchased this app, thinking it would automatically have a 'read to' option. My 6 year old loves the pictures and the story but I have to sit with her to read it as she cannot manage the text at 6 years of age. If you need the audio 'read to' option then this is not a fully interactive book and purchasers should wait until their child can read confidently and by themselves. But it was nice to read my daughter the bedtime version of the story whilst still allowing her to interact with the pages.

  • A pop-up book for the 21st century

Fantastic app! Incredible interactive book version of Alice in Wonderland - if you love pop-up books you'll adore this ipad version of a pop-up book. Make Alice grow larger or smaller, fling jam tarts around the courtroom, swing the White Rabbit's watch. This app is clearly great fun for kids, but it's just as much fun for adults. It's also the first book app I've found that really begins to show the potential of the ipad for really creative interactivity. Would love to see more of the same from the developer.
