  • Poor value for money

This book is way overpriced. Take a look a Beanstalk and you'll find a book with far better interaction for a fraction of the price.

This book is interactive, but the interactions are too simplistic, they are few and far between and struggle to maintain young kids attention. The Jack and the Beanstalk book sets a standard that this book needs to at least meet at a price point that puts Alice in the rip-off category.

  • Amazing E-book

This is the future of e-books. Great story (obviously) and amazing use of the iPad's technology.

Easy to read, and even better to look at.
  • Alice for the iPad

I loved this book as it uses the original illustrations yet brings it up to the present by making them move - this would be a wonderful way to introduce a child who prefers technology to sitting down with a book to actually then go to look at the book itself. I would like a setting to take me to a contents and page reference so I can find the exact page I'm looking for - it's frustrating to turn lots of pages before I get the page I want - which is not necassarily the last page I had open. Otherwise a really delightful app - thankyou!

  • Great app

I always loved the story of Alice in Wonderland, I am sure if Lewis Carroll was alive today he would have written his book as an app.
for is is a real magic, his name should be on the cover page,

Over priced for what it is. The promotion for this product is very exagerated
  • Almost there

There's a lot to like here. It uses the Tenniel illustrations. The interactive features are in the spirit of the book. It looks great. The full text is now available (the original was horribly abridged, with all of the poems deleted) and an editing error in 3.0 has been corrected.

The main thing, maybe the only thing, now is to fix the "index", which, in the unabridged version, is simply a list of pages that, if you have great patience, you can scroll through. Even a table of contents would be a huge improvement over this. Five stars when this issue is resolved.

  • Perfection

Amazing! With this new update everything I could possibly want from a story book app has now been given to me. The option to switch between abridged and unabridged gives every member of the family their perfect level of interaction from youngest to eldest. I can't wait for more titles like this.
  • Fantastic please make more books!

The best iPad book as far as I'm concerned. Love the interactive physics. Please make more books like this.
  • MORE PLEASE!

My almost 4 year old daughter LOVES this interactive story! It's just beyond cool how amazing it is and to see how much my daughter lights up when I read this to her! I hope MORE stories like this one are coming soon!!
  • Interesting - but could have been so much better!

This is a fascinating variation on presenting a text, but despite the bright colours it is actually very limited... Objects differ, but their behaviour remains constant; things - tarts, flowers- fall, graphics move (slightly) from side to side, but there are few surprises. The heavily cut text doesn't help experience the narrative (too many sub-Carroll linking passages don't help, either).

It's a good show-off-the-iPad app., but it's expensive, and a long way short of the original. I wish I'd waited for the next version...

WELL - the next version is here, and very sadly all that's changed seems to be the addition of missing text, added on pages of identical background. No new animations; just page after page of static text....
