About

35Slate is an operational workspace for audiovisual productions, from script to set. 35Slate now includes a native English interface selectable directly in the app, alongside Italian. Choose Italiano or English from the Account menu: labels, instructions, and app-generated messages follow your choice; scripts, names, descriptions, and notes stay exactly as you entered them. With 35Slate you can: • manage cast, crew, departments, characters and locations; • import and read the screenplay; • prepare breakdowns, shot lists and work plans; • create and send call sheets from the production server; • review weather, schedules and daily requirements; • document costumes, wardrobe changes, equipment and materials; • use QR codes to move assets between storage, wardrobe and set; • create production reports, prints and exports; • work on the same project from iPhone, iPad and Mac. Available data and actions depend on the role assigned within the production. Producer accounts manage projects and invite crew members with specific permissions. A verified 35MM account is required. Each 35Slate plan includes the number of projects shown in the monthly subscription. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

What's New in 35Slate

1.2.1

November 5, 2026

Fixes. The app no longer quits when you open a location's environment. The defect was in the line that writes «ENVIRONMENT 1» next to the name: with the number where the text belonged, the app stopped as soon as the screen appeared. It affected Mac, iPhone and iPad alike. Screenplay import now recognises scenes it used to discard. A heading containing a year in brackets, English forms (INT./EXT., DAY/NIGHT) and title cards no longer break recognition: a title card stays a title card instead of becoming a cast member. Location and environment photos are now recorded with a file name that matches their content. A photo taken on iPhone is a JPEG and was being saved as «.webp»: it displayed correctly in the app, but downloading it gave a file with the wrong extension. A scene's lighting condition is now chosen from a menu rather than eight side-by-side buttons, where the words were cut off. The app uses less data and less battery. While nobody is working it no longer asks the server for everything every three seconds: it slows down on its own and becomes immediate again at the first save, or the first change arriving from a colleague. A note for anyone who has already imported a screenplay. The fix applies from the next import on: a screenplay that was imported badly stays as it is, because nothing re-reads it by itself. Import it again after updating.
