Crashes on Skyway every time.
I was enjoying this game a great deal, until it broke. This is a very common occurrence, judging from various forum postings, and one that has gone unanswered by the developers. Basically you try to start the Skyway level and the app crashes out, EVERY time. I've tried reinstalling the game, rebooting the iPad, etc, nothing works. No response from the developers. The only restitution I have heard of is to email iTunes support and they will refund you for the broken application.
I don't understand how this game can be so old and yet still have such a glaring problem that the developers don't care to address. If they'd fix it, the game would be fun.Show lessgrimmbob
Great game but buggy
Used to be very stable but often crashes now. I just downloaded this latest release and mudslide just crashes all the time while loading.
Please fix it! Would be a five stars if it was not for the stability.Daniel Pelletier

Fieldrunners has always been a favorite of mine. Sure, it took them some time to come up with newer maps but it was worth the wait.
I appreciate how the newer maps feature fixed routes and open routes. I also like the multiplayer feature. Fieldrunners upped the ante this time with the new maps, units, and towers and the developers have shown once again why this game is one of the best tower defense games to ever come out for iOS.
Hands-down, this is one must-have iPad game. And oh, thanks for fixing the achievements bugs, too.Show lessjohannes.sia

I have the same problem as Beagadore(below). Whenever i click on the app it starts the "SUBATOMIC STUDIOS" screen and then crashes back to my home screen. The only way to play it is to restart the ipad. This is very annoyying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. However, Once this app is started up this is a FANTASTIC GAME. I was a bit hesitant at start to buy it, but it is all worth it (once you can actually play it). i would give this game 5 stars but it has a MAjOR!!! bug so I give it 1 star. Once this crash it fixed this will be the best IPAD game on the app store!!!!Show lessbradles4444
Crashed on me too...
Just wanted to confirm, like many other reviews, the application crashes when you save a game and resume the game. Resume game started the game up but crashed shortly thereafter. Just bought the iPad, installed Fieldrunners because it is my favorite iTouch game, very disappointed in the stability of the application relative to the cost. It really tarnishes what was once a great game. I'll update my rating if they can come out with a timely update that will fix this game's bugs.
UPDATE: I just tried launching the application and now it crashes on startup. I see the Subatomic Studios credit and then it sends me back to my desktop. I had to uninstall and reinstall the application for it to work.Show lessAH0Y

Field Runners is my favorite TD game. I was thrilled by the addition of 3 new maps, but increasingly frustrated by how unstable the game was on the mudslide level (crashing on most loads and crashing when I tried to save my scores). So I was first overjoyed by today's bug fix and then... let's say not pleased... when mudslide seemed even more prone to crashing. BUT... after a complete restart everything seems to be perfect again. Hooray! Thanks Subatomic for a brilliantly addictive game, the new maps and the bug fix.Show lessRebornTheGame
Keeps Crashing
Have updated with this new version and after resume from a save it crashes out in less than 10 seconds!! Come on guys can you get a quick fix on this version!!!!

Such addictive fun
Absolutely great game that keeps you coming back for more. Enough maps and game modes to keep you interested for a long time. I have been playing it for two weeks solid and still can't put it down !
The free update makes the best tower game even better - longevity. It has become a little more unstable however - crashing after resuming a save game happens a little too often for my likes. Still a sensational game to playShow lessBelly554
An old game I still play.
Assorted creeps come out of the opening, and run into your fort. You must kill them. You aren't allowed to block the path, you must just damage them enough to kill them. You can build a maze with your towers so they have to run around long enough that you have a chance to kill them. You can use goo towers to slow them down (except for the goo-resistant creeps), and assorted direct damage and area affect towers to kill them. The creeps have airplanes, helicopters, and assorted vehicles to try to make it thru.
This was the first "must have" game for the iPhone. The iPad version is exactly the same game, just scaled up to the screen size of the iPad. The graphics are improved for the iPad all around, units towers and explosions. The iPad version also comes with the 4th and 5th maps, where on the iPhone you have to buy them as DLC. At first, I couldn't load the 4th map, but powering the iPad off and turning it on again fixed that. (A common fix for many apps that don't work right at first.)
If you own the iPhone version, that version looks fine on the iPad with the X2 button, just not as crisp. If you don't own the iPhone version, this is probably still a "must have".Show lessWookman
