I play this often but it needs some work.
It would be nice if there was an option for a federal when you are dealt five nines. Also if you outscore the other team but they make their bid and also pass 1499 it shows them as winning.Mcmantim
It's Too Bad
This isn't even a reasonable facsimile of pinochle. It's an entirely different game but unfortunately it's the best one available. I play a few games and then delete it in total frustration and disgust. Months later I try it again in hopes that they have improved it enough to be pinochle. So far all I see is more bad reviews and no bug fixes. I'm thinking that maybe I could enjoy it if I think of it as a different game entirely, maybe called "Pseudo Pinochle" instead of "Pinochle HD".Show lessJLLMD
Very fun game, however...
I truly enjoy playing this game and have not seen some of the problems others have, however one flaw I have seen is my partner often throws their best cards even when I am winning the trick.LarryNN
Bugs
This is a decent way to get started or refresh your skills, but there could be lots of improvements. At least once a hand, the computer gives the trick to the wrong person. It is annoying. A good tutorial would be nice and when adding up the scores it would be nice to be able to see the run down of points win. Will probably be searching for a better app.Show lessIish529
HD Pinochle
Fast. Fun. But, if you are a pinochle player, it doesn't play logically as a pinochle player would. It plays trump cards when unnecessary. It melds losers. You don't have to be "on board" with meld in order to play out your cards. Could definitely be improved upon, but it's still fun!NolaRussell
Ok option
There are not many pinochle options. Of the ones I've tried this is my favorite, but there are some big issues. Your partner doesn't know what a pinochle is and will pass you back the jacks/queens. They will split up melds they had too to give you cards. It's very annoying. I also wish there was an auto finish if a player only has trump and nobody else has any. The bid only goes up by 10, no way to jump the bid. But for all the negatives it's still my favorite version available.Show lessBooboobatpo
Just okay AI
Computer partner doesn't seem to recognize a pinochle (it passed me a jack of diamonds so he could keep a marriage, rather than keeping it for double pinochle - it won the bid and melded the two queens in spade marriages). Other than that pretty good.SteveALO
Partner always hold aces!
One of the most frustrating part s of this game is when you call trump and your partner has an ace, they won't pass it. Just makes playing a bit frustrating!TimLancaster
Programming is off
Curious as to why the opposing team wins when my end game score is higher
I have seen it time and time again when I have a final score of 5400 points to my opponent score is 5100, but they are declared the winner
Does not sound like Hoyle or the basic rules of the game

I am embarrassed on my partner's behalf
Seriously. She doesn't know how to pass, and I hate giving her the lead. The table in general is VERY conservative in bidding, which takes the fun/challenge out of the game. I do like the layout and look of the game, but the mechanics aren't there yet. I personally would also like the option of being able to see the last trick, because sometimes it animates through too quickly. Hoping for updates and improvements.Show lessmathiasmaas
