A very promising app
While I am still waiting in the full version, the lite version of popplet is already very promising. You can very easily organize your thoughts using the board and it's options of boxes, in which you can insert text, hand drawing, and photos. It is possible to change the color of the boxes and to link boxes. The full version promises multiple boards.
Beyond this, this app needs the ability to group a couple of boxes together to be really outstanding. Right now it see s impossible to select more than one box at the same time. Also, when moving one box, the other boxes that are connected to this box stay at their place. This might be desirable at some times, but it does not allow me to organize my thoughts in hierarchical ways.
In addition, it would be nice if it was possible to include freehand drawings outside of boxes, for example to create conceptual maps more easily.
If future versions show these or similar improvements, it would become a very interesting and powerful app to develop your thoughts.Show lessJoachimScholz
Good for mind-mapping and project planning
A nice clean app that is simple and intuitive but which adds great features to the basic mind mapping concept. I've used a bunch of applications like this looking for just the right balance of utility, flexibility and simplicity, and this app all of that. It's better than my previous favorite SimpleMind because it allows for inserting pictures and it allows for linking between any branches, not just hierarchical. I still think Corkulous is a more robust application, but it doesn't handle the mind-mapping/flowchart stuff, and I prefer the clean, modern interface of Popplet.Show lessw.eatherman
Love this app
I love this app. At a basic level it can do flow diagrams but more importantly it does total visual idea maps. Awesome! I will be upgrading.Carlc1964
Interesting
The GUI is well thought out and instantly intuitive... I downloaded this on a whim to see what it was like and I was impressed with it's simplicity of use and the nice integration with the photo gallery.
NB: I'm unlikely to upgrade to the full version, but only because this isn't the sort of program I'd use often enough to warrant the asking price, you'll need to make your own decision on that.
A few things that would be nice to have are different shaped boxes, box background fill colours, directional arrows on the lines, line thickness choice, dotted and dashed lines, the ability to bend the lines or add anchor points so you could arrange them around boxes. I appreciate that complicates the app somewhat, but it would make it a terrific tool for creating perceptual maps etc and give omnigraffle a run for its moneyShow lessBrendan Mitchell
I use it pretty much every day
This is the app that I use the most on my iPad. Since I am a visual person, I LOVE making flow charts and organizing my ideas in a visual but comprehensive way. I use this to connect ideas I learn in anatomy. I have the lite version, which only let's you make one popplet, but I have made tons already by making them, emailing them to myself, and then deleting them. I am just fine with the free version so don't get the full version when you already have all the great features for free. Great app, love it, download it you will love it too.Show lessgraceful melody
Good app for mind maps
This is a simple and easy to use app, which also looks cool.
I use it as a mind mapping tool, I have been comparing different apps and eventually decided on popplet. The emphasis is on your ideas not options and buttons that you have to get your head around. The app looks cool and you don't feel geeky and nerdy using it. I have gone full app and am pleased with it. Looking forward to future upgrades.Show lessDotcombubble
Best idea-note app I have seen...
This is one of the best note taking and idea mapping apps I have found ing the app store so far. I would totally buy the full version of this app, but I'm not willing to pay $9.00 for it, way to expensive. 5 star material!
Nice primes for an idea board and brainstorming app!
Looks very good, modern and web 2ish and offers some nice functionality.
But still quite far away from getting a 5 star rating!
Would like to have some more functionality like
- ability to export or import multiple popplet as images.
- ability to have multiple pages so we can organise different group of popplets.
- ability to snap or align with poplets.
- ability to two finger drag to resize the poplet instead of drag handles. (probably enabled inside of edit mode as a toggle to avoid interference with general zoom
- ability to add multiple items in each poplet
- fill pop lets with color fill instead of having just white.
- ability to snap the connectors at 45deg angles so it looks formal when required.
- multiple fonts, font size and color options.
And still more.
I know it's a long list. But the more I use it the more I love it, and the more I am thinking how I could make this work for me!
I just downloaded it coz it looked nice. But the premise and the functionality just blew me away!
I am an interior designer and architect and an amateur photographer and to think of the possibilities with this one is mind boggling.

The free version is so good that I happily downloaded the paid for version more or less straight away.
It does more or less everything I want in a tool like this. Is easier to use than others, this one is free and it has impressed everyone I've shown it to.VeryNormalPerson
Excellent, fun and useful app
I really enjoy using popplet. There are a lot of mindmapping apps out there but this one is the most fun. It has a unique, friendly interface and the way it integrates images and allows you to change colors is just great. By the way - I've never had it crash on me. Works great.
