  • Florence & v4.7

Update. Do NOT buy this app (Hurricane Tracker) if you live on the coast and need to know where the storm is when it’s approaching your area. Additionally, it does not have an archive of past storms; useful during the winter months. The information this app does have is not helpful to anyone in the predicted path of a storm. A total re-write is needed.

HurricanesPro does have a tracking map with relative bearing and distance to your location. It also has an archive of all past storms. It was very helpful during Florence: I live in Wilmington, NC.

We still a good app for those on the coast. At this time, the only choice is HurricanesPro. I’m not affiliated with them.

  • Great way to track hurricane models when away from the PC

This is the best hurricane tracker I have found on the market. Information is collected and arranged so it is very easy to find all updates in a single location. I wish it was also on my pc as I could delete a dozen other URL.

  • Best hurricane app out there.

I live in Puerto Rico and out here we need lots of information when the Atlantic gets feisty. We are all junior meteorologists! This app has all the basic stuff plus lots of the deeper views we like to watch such as the Sahara dust map, and the different models. This is my go to app. It takes about 5 different websites on my Mac to get what I get here.

All the National Weather Service Info, plus Hurricane Trackers own in depth reports and graphics. Wind shear info at different altitudes... etc. Many reports of interest to pilots on really large storms, as more private pilots move their planes out of range.

  • Great app - tells you all you need to know in a concise format

Used app for 2 hurricane seasons and found it to be a great help.
Tells you all you need to know in a concise format without annoying ads popping up all over the place.
Wish all apps could be as good.
  • Excellent Well-organized Information!

I live in a hurricane prone area so use this app regularly! I've tried many - this is the best I've found. The information available - from the satellite pics, to the many forecast graphics, to the detailed analysis - is outstanding. It's all as updated as soon as the weather centers release it. And the user interface is fantastic - intuitive and easy to us. Love it!

  • THE app for hurricane season

This is my go to app when hurricane season starts. I live in Florida and the minute a hurricane forms every local news station goes into media fueled paranoia mode because, well, they make money off these disasters and want you to only watch their stations for info.
This app gives you all of the info you need with none of the bs.
