I could never really get it to work right while I was on the road, and this is in the middle of a big city. Then, while I'm trying to figure it out, back at home, it starts talking to me in a super loud voice while the phone was on silent. I'm fairly certain there was no speed trap in my bedroom or anywhere near it. What there was, was a loud, inexplicable noise coming from my phone that woke up my gf. This was the first time-- and will be the last time-- this app has actually done anything.Show lessBilly•F
Tried to contact through the email provided but that didn't work. So here is my problem
I'm using the phantom app and it works fine BUT! The voice notifications are soo low nobody can hear it...I've even had to shut my radio off and hold it to my ear just to hear it...a suggestion is to update the app with a volume control bar to raise the volume level....I know there is a button to shut the alert sounds off but none to adjust the volume...I've tried many thing to be able to hear the notifications but to no avail. Plus it's illegal to have a cell phone in my hand in NY so holding the phone to hear the app is a no no....thank you for your time. I love this app. My fiancee likes to drive, so I let her drive. The only problem is that she's reckless.
I love her to death, but I don't care for all the tickets she's having me pay.
This app saved me from my rising insurance premiums, I show her where the areas that will be possible for for her to get caught doing sonething stupid and now she's acting much betta behind my wheel! ThanksShow lessJ00C3
Getting better
After my initial review I was contacted by customer service and they explained that they have had server issues with the website. He said he was upgrading me to a lifetime membership and give me a different way to download the content. It seemed to work but as of today the traffic cameras in the app are still not available . use it every day ...works very very well
man this app is really useful. DC just added 79 speed and red light cameras. Virginia cops love to pick on Cabies. maryland also is going crazy with mobile speed cameras. they really eant to pick drivers pockets in the name of slowing down drivers. its all a lie.
I am amazed as to how many alerts I get through this app. wow ! there are so many ways to get a ticket driving around town and you really have saved me from several tickets. I also love the live traffic cam views. I use it to pick which routes to take.
I have told fellow Cabies and passengers about your app. I hope you get some business out if it.
pleas keep it up as this is a very useful service. by the way your tech support guy was awesome too helped me install it on my wife's tomtom. I am a life time member and the $100 bucks you charge for to users for life is worth every penny. I can honestly say I it paid for itself the first day you helped me Avoid a hidden speed camera on Missouri abe. how sneaky it was hidden behind a big tree. thanks for the alert.

This is one of the best apps that I have used. Actually saves a lot of money. Got 2 tickets in a month for $125 each in DC in less than a month. Since i got this NO tickets! Customer service is A++!DeltaJK

Works. Some false alerts but makes up for it when it saves you from one ticket. I find myself using it more and more and it really makes me less anxious especially in areas my type are not welcome... If you know what I mean.Wound godenew. Harifr
Helps my commute
Loving this app. Helping me avoid traffic and tickets. Used it for a year and now upgraded to a life time account. Worth every penny. If you drive on areas where cops are over zealous you need this ap.Jane1982
Another useless app
I'd give it 0 stars if I could. Waste of time & phone space. Much like many newer sites they don't show you anywhere how to delete your account. Funny thing is within an hour of installing the app & setting up the required account I got an email saying "someone" tried to change my password lolPunkindrublik
User based = Unreliable
Most useless app I've ever used (even more useless than the Zippo lighter app. System is ENTIRELY user based (this means it gets ALL its info from people like you). This means every time someone sees a cop on the side of the road, they report a speed trap (though this is usually not what the cop is doing) and results in a warning every 5 miles. Warnings for red light cameras keep popping up (even though they were outlawed here...as in they don't exist). The traffic cams are randomly generated and have yet to pop up anywhere near me (despite my city being littered with them). The only use for a cam anyway is to show traffic in one tiny spot (google let's you see real time traffic EVERYWHERE, and doesn't require interpretation (or a monthly fee); red means slow, green means go...simple, no staring at a webcam to discern changes in patterns) worse yet, the useless cam takes up half your screen. I'd have dumped it even if they hadn't tried to start charging.
Still I wanted some sort of warning system, and a quick google for "best turn by turn app" produced Waze. It gives the exact same user based info, while also giving turn by turn (Garmin style)...for FREE!!! Even better I can run it in the background, so unlike Phantom Alert, it doesn't prevent me from otherwise using my phone.
