Approachable, accessible - there is obviously a ton of work behind this.
I asked a friend who is not super wine savvy to have a look, it delighted her that she just had to describe what she liked rather than needing to know. And then she said "so I might like Chenin Blanc if I like Rieslings?"
That's how wine culture will develop further, take away fear of the unknown, bridge the gap.

Very educational
I really like this product as it's very informative and educational. It's not intended to tell you what particular label or wine to buy but it's designed to equip you with information and an easy to navigate reference to help you make your own decisions. If your goal is to have an easy to use iphone or itouch reference with you while you shop then this is for you. I also had fun with the My Taste feature that tries to estimate your wine taste preference based upon a questionnair of your food/fruit/sugar/spice preferences.

Nice little app
I really like the vast amount of information available. This app gives you a strong foundation on which to build your wine knowledge. Very easy to navigate and is very user friendly.
Although vintage information isn't available, I don't believe the app is intended as a wine rating app. However, if you want to build on your existing knowledge, or begin gathering new knowledge, this app is spot on. It really helps guide you through the sometimes confusing world of wine/grapes. I find it very useful and worth the price of admission.Show lessFozzieDoggie
