I loved Hook Champ; I completed all the levels, got all but the very last forbidden hat, and even bought the two extra characters. Eventually, I got bored. I have now moved onto Super QuickHook, and I think I will be playing it for quite a while! The hats, hooks, characters, and dialogue are as great as (if not better than) Hook Champ, and Avalanche/ Eruption mode offers endless challenge!Show lessLordVorselon

I can't really fault this game.. the gameplay is fun, there are loads of upgrades, Easter eggs, unlockables and replay value.
Each bit of dialogue always makes me laugh. compared to any Halfbrick game, the humor is far better as well as the graphics

Although a great game, the bug mentioned above are not being addressed for a long time. Despite being a great game, it is also not that cheap when compared to other typical platformer games. We should expect better and more prompt responses from thr developer.Tae Young Kim
Simply fun
I've played a whole slather of iPhone games before, and this one is my favourite. It was hard for me to pinpoint why until I figured out that I can pick it up and play for 5 minutes, or play for an hour and still want more.
The premise of the game is simple enough, its a left right side scroller where you use a grappling hook and rocketboots to get to the end, picking up coins on your way.
If you play a level just to get through it, only the last couple are legitimately hard, the rest can be done quite easily one you get the rhythm of the controls. What you stay for is doing a level within a certain time, and that's hard on about half the levels.
Also, I say this after having to reset my iPhone and I lost all my saved data; I actually have already finished the game - Now I'm going back for a second helping - voluntarily playing through the whole game again, when in other games I'm just not going back at all.
