Love the content, but this app violates Apple developer guidelines
Love the Movieguide content, but it sadly violates Apple App Store developer guidelines. It is a repackaged version of the website and contains little to no app features, no native user interface (as it used to), and is simply not a useful app like it used to be. It's as if nobody at Movieguide actually uses the app on a daily basis to search for movies, navigate content, get alerts about the latest reviews. There isn't any watchlist functionality. The navigation is broken and you can't get back to the main home screen after looking at a review.
From section 4.2 of the developer guidelines:
"Your app should include features, content, and UI that elevate it beyond a repackaged website. If your app is not particularly useful, unique, or “app-like,” it doesn’t belong on the App Store."
Please devote more resources toward making a real native Movieguide app.

Lazy
It's their website wrapped poorly in an app. Come on, don't be lazy. If you're going to build an app, build a good one. This is simply a "look, me too" presence in the App Store. Unfortunately, the producers of this content are missing out on many integrations into iOS that would have significantly enhanced the application and its presence in the iOS ecosystem.

Don't waste your money
Okay, so I was hoping to find a good app that would offer information about movies before I rented them. Sadly, this app opens in a quarter of my iPad, filling the rest of the screen with black. I might just live with that, except that the portion which is visible is mis-sized and useless. Don't waste your money on this app like I did!

Good idea but crashes
This app is great to check films out from a Christian perspective. Some work needed as it has crashed- keeps saying no movies.

Controlling what we see and hear in our entertainment is important to my family as Christians. This app actually breaks down how many "f words", amount of nudity etc. We use it any time we are trying to find a movie to watch.
