Completely useless for contributors. Awful app.

    Can't search, crashes every time.
    Useless
  • STILL no contributor sales data!

STILL disappointed with the updates. The contributor sales revenue and stats has been removed! Why? Very disappointed this feature has been removed. As of now, unfortunately, I no longer have any use for this app on my phone now that this feature has been removed. Please bring this feature back!
  • Useless. Used to Crash, Now it Just Locks Up

UPDATE: Crashes are fixed but, performance still lags. It seems as if the developers and UX-UI Team were designing this app for the Getty client versus the people who would actually use this product. Even on the newer iPads (Retina Airs) the performance is sluggish. Rather than having a view that needs to redraw every time something needs to be added to a lightbox, would it not be more efficient to have a peek state or a selector view (devoid of thumbnail images that need to reloaded)? An interface that allowed users to make multiple selections and quickly add images to a lightbox from a simple list view would be ideal. This is what designers, art directors and creative directors need, a tool that allows us to work efficiently -- not a pretty UI or preview states during simple tasks.

PREVIOUSLY: In an app that was not only greatly anticipated it becomes exceedingly clear that Getty has no idea how navigation stacks work in iOS. Furthermore, it lags in performance in nearly every major function it is supposed to accomplish. Missing are elegant touches like lazy load and background loading of images. This means you the user end up spending more time for search results to load than necessary. The tool is so slow it makes more sense to do your image searches on the website.

  • A Step in the Wong Direction

The latest update to this app removes useful features, like viewing stats, and makes searching harder by presenting results in large images that take much longer to scroll through instead of showing a thumbnail grid like the previous version did. Software is supposed to improve with each revision. This version is far worse.

  • Contributor unfriendly

While this new versions looks fairly cool, as a photo contributor, I find it to be rubbish . Gone are all my stats of sales!! I now have no way of checking my sales through the official app!! Also you have to re-enter login details each time as it does not remember them! Bring back the old app and look after the people that make photo library's work - the contributors!!!!!

  • Useless for Contributors

The only reason I had the iStock app was so that I could monitor my sales conveniently on the go without having to log in. Now this feature has been removed, which effectively renders the app useless. No image buyer I know would be purchasing images for publication on a phone app. Getty have wrecked this - don't bother.

  • Rubbish!

This app is utter rubbish. For one thing you can no longer see your account updated. Wasn't keen on the images either. All in all this business thrives on paying talent pennies for their work when they could be earning THOUSANDS doing it through legitimate means!!

It really amused me to hear a "creative" professional using iStock! It's a bit like Jordan saying she's just written a novel and have a ghost writer do it all for her. Not too much in the way of "creativity" grabbing a few stock images IMO! Hmmm, anyway...

All in all not exactly great, wouldn't recommend at all. Pretty poor!👎

  • Please please please being back contributor stats

Nice looking app, quick and intuitive. Could benefit from full screen preview, clickable links for contributor name to view similar images and PLEASE bring back contributor stats as the website is hard work from mobile devices!
