Quality source material + quality programming = great app

I'm a fan of Montessori style education primarily because of the responsibility it places on the child to learn simply by providing an interesting, educational environment. This app does just that. As a webpage designer/programer I was sold on the quality of the app, but to be able to hand my phone to my 3-yr old and have him on his own go through each exercise was just amazing. He was beaming and turning to look at me every once and a while to say "This is so fun, Daddy." As good as the these Montessori exercises are, this app could have easily been a failure (despite how pretty it is) if it didn't provide an intuitive way for children to explore each exercise on their own. Seeing the confidence in my son's face as he figures things out is just wonderful. It really looks great on my iPhone, but I would love to see it on an iPad. I could almost justify finally buying an iPad just for this app (and the Intro to Letters which is coming soon).

Fantastic App!!

Our kids love this app! They are 6 and 5 and both know how to find and play this app. It is fun for them, easy to play and educational. I helps keep them busy in the grocery store, car or anywhere else we wait. Plus they are learning so I don't mind the playing as much. I highly recommend this app to anyone looking for kids or educational apps.

A Must Have

I have only been using this app for a few days at my job, but all 12 of the children i work with around the age of 4 years old can't wait to get their turn with this app. This is a great learn tool for any parents who want their children to get a head start into math. Its fun and has get sound effects with every move. I can't wait until tomorrow when all the children run up for their turn, it has made my job alot easier. Thank you

I'd have paid double.

Let's just say it's hard to get kids to pay attention to math. But give it a sparkling modern design and a beautiful interface, and, man ... They'll pay attention.

Sierra (almost 3) loves both the tracing and the discs. We love the look and the way it keeps her busy. Isaac (1) likes to mess with it and make her sister mad.

Two out of three ain't bad, or so the great philosopher Meatloaf once said.

Fantastic App

Our 2 1/2 year old daughter is really starting to enjoy this app. It's simple, easy to learn and visually fantastic. We knew very little about the Montessori way of teaching but this app has really piqued our interest. Already looking forward to the next installment. Keep up the great work!

We highly recommend this app to anyone!

My wife and I downloaded Intro to Math after we noticed it in the "New and Noteworthy" section of iTunes. We were instantly drawn to the beauty of the design and decided to try it out. We wondered if the educational value could meet the aesthetics of the design. After just a few minutes, and the experience of the simplistic charms of the very first activity, we were totally blown away. There are so many layers to the activities, that we even enjoyed playing with them. Having discovered the joys of learning, we opted to gift this app to our nieces, whose parents have since emailed to exclaim, "these are so unique, cool and gorgeous". Later that night, when the kids were asleep, they called to see what else we knew about Montessori. Needless to say, after that much interest, we highly recommend this app to anyone! Looking forward to more from this developer!

This app is way cool!

My 4 year old loves this app and I don't have a headache listening to it. The sounds are zen. The voiceover is smooth and my child is learning while I am able fold the laundry in peace. I played around tested it before handing it over to him and and was impressed with the artistic design.

Ironically, we have been considering enrolling our child into a Montessori program. This could push us over the edge. I like the non-obtrusive style to learning and it comes across in the App.

Finally, a developer who is giving my child something he wants - and something I want too. Good old fashioned learning.

I look forward to more apps from this developer. It's uber cool and not annoying. A pretty good mix I'd say.

A Little Girl's Favorite

This app has quickly become our 4 year old daughter's favorite application. Some of the educational applications become boring for her pretty quick. This will keep her attention much longer than most apps, including other children's games. I especially like the progression of the exercises, and how seamless the progression is. Above and beyond the educational aspect of this app, it is very well designed with pleasing voices and sounds.

This app has definitely been worth the $5 spent. Will definitely purchase other Montessorium apps when available!

Amazing

This is a great app, and one of my 3 year old's favorites... The number tracing portion particularly stands out to us, and it's a great confidence booster, as well as a great way to fine tune his hand eye coordination - after just a couple of tries he was able to trace the numbers very well -- impressing even me! The other games in here are just as great and offer a nice diversity from one to the next, pretty much ensuring he doesn't get bored with any one of them. The sounds are great too, and haven't bothered me at all like they have in some other educational apps. This is a great app and definitely worth the five dollars! Thanks guys/gals!

Fixed. Perfect.

This app is much better now after the fix. In fact, it is by far the very best educational app for numbers out there. The interface is beautiful, activities are balanced and most of all, children genuinely enjoy it. Other counting and preschool math offerings simply do not measure up. Perfect. My 2 year old is enthralled!
