New web-based interface ruined it
I hardly ever bother to write reviews, but IU ruined this app so badly it felt like my duty to complain. Ever since the 2.0 update this app uses a web interface. Aka you can literally perform all of the functions by going to the IU mobile site in a browser. Now this app is slow, unresponsive, and often just doesn't work. The bus schedules and maps often don't come up in the main menu. I have no idea why they changed the format of the app, but it is AWFUL now. FIX THIS APP NOW!!

Great minor update - home button rocks!
The new transitions make this app so much more responsive⦠and I love that there is a home icon on the bottom bar. It makes getting out of umail so easy!!!
Frustrating!!!
Cool app with some useful info and links but really frustrating since you can't navigate back to the main menu from umail, you have to wait a few days before it resets and let's you access the main menu again, they kinda forgot the button for that
Works great
I don't know what people are complaining about. It works great. All I wanted was an easy way to look at oncourse but this has resource folders schedules etc. I think it's great. Only wish is for you to be able to view onestart
Bloomington Campus Bus
When I log in I can get to the bus schedules and my oncourse, but if I don't log in for a few days I have to retype my password. Make it keep my password saved longer! Other than that this app is awesome! It's real fast on wifi but slower on 3G. Add grades to oncourse and it will be perfect.
New version
I especially like the my classes and the fact that my course schedule shows up in the calendar tool. Very handy for the first week of classes. Please add more oncourse content and something for the libraries as well.
Very good
It's a great app. Must admit it does tend to crash and does need oncourse asap!! But I understand that's coming soon and I'm sure the bugs will work out.
A+
Great app, and it will be even better when they add oncourse. The computer lab and bus route features alone make this awesome!
Oncourse PLEASE!!
This could be a pretty sweet app but without Oncourse it falls short. Without the ability to post to forums and send messages, this is just ok. Need functional Oncourse because with iPhone even going to full site you can't post to forum. iPhone does not recognize the text field.
OK, for a first attempt...
Some suggestions:
Selecting a campus should be a preference setting. I shouldn't be asked to select a campus every time I open the app.
The Events section doesn't display properly unless it's viewed sideways.
In the Bus Schedules section, the real-time DoubleMap app doesn't seem to work over wi-fi - or at least not on my Touch. Every time I try to open it, it crashes the app.
Some of the apps take you out to Safari - which is fine. However, when you click on the IU Mobie button at the top of the Safari window, it takes you to a Safari-based version of IU Mobile. This seemed kinda weird, especially since the safari versions of the apps are clunky and don't work the same way that they do when you access them from the main IU Mobile app.
