The incident. or ?
This is obviously . This game is such an amazing game. It's worth every cent. Don't listen to the people who say u will hate it.
This game is about random items are falling down from the sky. You are trying to climb ontop of all of it while not getting hit or buried.
Controls: tilt your iPhone/iPod/iPad side to side to make him move. Don't buy this app if that feature is broken. If it is u can't play the game.
This game is really addicting and fun. Don't listen to the people who hate this game cause this game is AMAZING.

Surprisingly Good
Despite having repetitive gameplay with minimal story, The Incident managed to be thoroughly engaging from start to finish. The controls are responsive and not cumbersome like most RPGs on iOS, and the retro graphics and chiptune music are as addictive as the gameplay. The many lethal objects allowed dying to actually be fun, which was a first for any video game I've played. I do wish there was more of an ending, but it was overall a fantastic game.

I love pixels!
This game reminds me of the games from my youth like Krusty's Fun House. If you played the SNES or MEGADRIVE (Genesis) then you'll appreciate this game. The motion controls actually work too. The people who say this game is too hard clearly haven't spent time playing many challenging games. Shinobi on the MEGADRIVE was hard, this is just fun.

Great 8bit game
A simple game, that's challenging - and beautiful. The 8 bit graphics and retro music give this game a great feel. The game can be addictive at times, due to the "just one more try" factor, that keeps you trying to beat your previous highscore. Fun, simple, beautiful, retro game.
Superb
In regards to Matthew Taylors rather poor review, what planet are you on?
You moan about the graphics? These are clearly displayed prior to purchase, so how can you moan about them? As a developer myself, I find it increasingly irritating that people will leave 2 star reviews because of small points. The graphics are designed to be retro and fit the game perfectly. So, in your review, where the hell is the mention of the gameplay? I will read again....
Hmmm....
Oh, boring and repetitive... I totally disagree. The game is fresh and new. It is hard at times, but... never unjustly. It is a challenge - and that is what I want for my money.
This retails at £1.19 and that is less than some of the crap released 20 years ago on the budget computer labels - Add inflation and you have a bargain.
Well done on a great game. Challenging, fun, rewarding, and original. WONDERFUL.

Great retro feel.
"The Incident" is a challenging game that is sure to delight some that are looking for some 8-bit nostalgia. There's enjoyability that reminded me a little of Super Mario Bros, as well as something rather reminiscent of the cult-classic SNES game, "Earthbound." This can be seen in regards to some items that end up raining down from the sky on our hero, and some nice 'easter eggs' to be found as well. While there are some items that are annoying, to end up being killed by a couple actually gave me some pleasure.
If there is one complaint, it's that the game does not rotate on the iPhone, for left-handers. I originally played this as a demo game on an iPad 2 at the Apple Store, but that was enough to get me to consider it for my iPhone until I can get my own iPad 2.

Tedious and Unrewarding
I think the idea is cute. I stopped playing it because it got boring. Just endless objects being dropped on you. I say unrewarding because it seemed like the only thing that changed in newer levels is the background image. After playing it for a while I was trying to figure out why I didn't like it so much... I finally came to the conclusion that the controls are very unnatural. If you really want to avoid an object, you have to jerk the device really far to one side to the point where I was looking at my phone sideways. I adjusted the sensitivity to but that didn't help. The game could be a lot better if the controls are fixed and there is something added to break up the monotony. For now it's a waste of $2.00.

Simple, Challenging, Elegant
Disclosure: I haven't had any of the stability issues that other reviewers have mentioned, so I can't speak to them.
When I want to show people how awesome the iPad is I show them the ability to control The Incident from the iPhone. Consistently people are blown away, and this is before they are hooked by the gameplay.
The gameplay: It gets hard, but not too soon. I think that a simple game like this needs to get hard, otherwise there is no staying power. So yes it is challenging, but it is the type of game that you can just hop in and out of for 15 minutes at a time. One of the best parts about this game is a dedicated developer that is constantly improving the gameplay: remote, new gameplay options, TV out. I can only hope that this continues.

Killed by a Van Gogh
It's like tetris Armageddon. Accept far more interesting. I really start to panic and shake my phone around like crazy when trapped. I enjoyed this so much more than doodle jump.
Yay
I like the part where stuff falls from the sky!
