Had an unauthorised charge to my bank account for 98AUD.

Never subscribed to Premium or anything. Yet I had somehow had a 98AUD transaction and got a year's worth of Premium without asking for it. Had to start a dispute over it with my bank. Not sure why this happened. I received no documentation, receipt or confirmation from Camscanner after the money was charged. I sent an email to support and they were of no help, just recommended I put forward a dispute with Apple support.

Very disheartened by the whole experience, considering I had been using CamScanner's free service since 2020. Hope they take steps to ensure it does not happen in the future.

Hi, the subscription won't be activated automatically. You may have subscribed to the free trial of premium version but didn’t cancel it during the trial period. When subscribing, it will indicate it is an auto renewal service. Bugs and steals data

I would not recommend buying this app due to serious concerns about data security:

1. **Data Privacy Issues**: The app requests excessive permissions that seem unnecessary for its functionality.
2. **Suspicious Activity**: After installing the app, I noticed unusual activity on my device, raising concerns about data being accessed without my consent.
3. **Lack of Transparency**: The privacy policy is vague and does not clearly explain how user data is collected, used, or protected.
4. **Unsecure Connections**: The app does not seem to use secure connections for data transmission, making it vulnerable to potential breaches.

Given these issues, I strongly advise against using this app to protect your personal information

1. **Poor Performance**: The app is incredibly slow and often crashes, which makes it almost unusable.
2. **User Interface**: The design is outdated and not user-friendly. Navigation is confusing and unintuitive.
3. **Bugs and Glitches**: There are numerous bugs that disrupt the user experience. Key features often do not work as expected.

5. **High Cost**: For the price, I expected a much higher quality product. There are free alternatives that perform much better.

In order to ensure the safety of entire syncing and storing process, we use the military level encryption technology such as 2048-bit SSL/TLS and 256-bit AES. The Cloud service is powered by Amazon AWS. Unless you share your password and CamScanner ID with others, no one can access your stored information, including our staff. Previously 5* NOW CRASHING CONSTANTLY

I’ve used CamScanner for nearly 9 years. Until this latest upgrade, it has worked exceptionally well. I have subscribed due to increasing cloud storage requirements. Since subscribing and the latest update the app crashes constantly after taking one image or more and trying to edit the title. It is used on an iPhone 13, with a large amount of free memory. VERY DISAPPOINTING - HELP NEEDED

Please try to reboot your phone and then open the app without network connection. If it can be opened, please head to CS app->Me-> Suggestion and Feedback and then connect to the network to send us the feedback. If still fails, is there any error message popping up? One of the worst apps

This app seemed to work ok at first, but after a while not matte what I do or what settings I change the camera is rotated and if I rotate my iPad it doesn’t correct. It’s so out of whack and nothing else on my device is funky like this, only this app. I wonder if it’s not made well for an iPad, but it worked okay at first. It’s kind of a pain to send the documents to yourself because even though I change the scanned items to PDFs it still says they are too large for my gmail, so I had to upload them to a separate platform and then email them to myself which is an extra step I shouldn’t have to do. Also the scan screen when using the iPad is mostly black and the scanned item is only about the size of a phone, which seems to confirm my suspicion that it’s made for phones and not iPad. I want to use my because it’s better overall. Overall, it’s just more of a pain than it’s worth, I hope to find a better app.

Edited - Now great for iPhone 14Pro

Update - The App has been fixed to support the 15 Pro macro lens. It’s now back to been a 5 star fantastic App.

I’ve been using this App for years and it’s been fantastic. Why only three stars? Good question - there is a problem with this and almost all third party Apps using the iPhone 14Pro cameras. The standard lens will not allow close-up use, natively the iPhone will switch to the ultra-wide lens but seemingly not when it’s a third party App. This renders CamScanner pretty useless if you have a 14Pro. I’m guessing this is an Apple restriction as I suspect this App’s developer would have fixed this it it was fixable (maybe you can comment?). If you’re not a 14Pro User then buy it, it’s a great App!

Absolutely worth the price

One might think that, since I only scan about 20 pages per year, the price of this app wouldn’t be worth it. Although the cost is at the upper limit of what I’m willing to pay, I still think it is worth the cost of admission because I know I can make great scans with my phone camera.

This app is feature-rich. A few of my favorite functions include the ability to stretch and straighten the wonky images that can result from photographing wrinkled pages or pages that are photographed on unlevel surfaces. The ability to remove shadows is probably the best feature in my opinion.

I recommend CamScanner for anyone who wants to make great quality scans in even subpar conditions.

Easy to use Scanner

I didn’t need an instruction book to work this one out! Fun to use; love playing with the lighting effects. So handy when one is travelling.

Very useful and restores faded and illegible documents

Very happy with CamScanner. I have been using since 2015. My 94 year old Aunt had just passed away at 2am. She purchased her mortuary and cemetery policy in 1960, it was fully paid for. The contract was on NCR paper, faded and illegible. I called the mortuary to have them come pick her up and was told they did not have any record of her contract because age of documents and mergers and many moves. They would not be coming over to the house. This was a well know and very large mortuary.
I used my Cam Scanner app to scan the contract and other documents, which were made very clear, then emailed to them. Because of Cam Scanner, a very sad, stressful time of my life was made easier to get through.
I highly recommend for personal and business.

Good App

Updated review: I was not charged at the end of the Free Trial period after all, despite it appearing like I would be even though I hadn’t decided to activate the 3 days free Premium Subscription since the latest update came out.
I use this app on a regular basis and it does what it says on the tin, the adverts can become quite annoying but that’s understandable given it’s a free app I suppose! I didn’t know until I read the Developers response to another review a few days ago that you can purchase CamScanner+ for a one off 99p which is with no ads and removes watermarks. I will consider this for future as it suits my needs. Really recommend this app.

If you received the receipt, please click the link below to find and cancel the subscription: http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202039 If you didn't receive the receipt and cannot find the subscription under the Manage App Subscriptions section of your Apple ID, it means that you didn't make the purchase and no money will be deducted.

Very Disappointed, PDF Saving and Sharing Too Difficult

This seemed like a great app and easy to use. However after scanning my document, I couldn’t save or upload it anywhere. Unclear instructions on how to set email up in order to email it to myself. Also I keep seeing their response to others that they “use the email app on your phone” as though that is an excuse. I don’t use the email app on my phone and have no desire to. I use the Gmail app. All other apps I use that have an email feature let me send emails using the Gmail app. It’s absolutely ridiculous this app doesn’t. I tried saving to an album and it saved all 11 pages as separate photos on my phone. I could have just taken pictures if that’s what I wanted. Finally, it seemed easy to upload the file to google drive, but the permissions were fishy. I don’t want to give this app permission to see all my Google drive files (edit and delete them) just to get the PDF into a saved place where I can actually use it. Completely frustrated.

Email icon in the CS is supported by iPhone Mail app. If you use Gmail app instead of iPhone Mail app, you can share docs to Gmail app: open/select docs in CS--Share--Share PDF--tap Gmail app. Before that, make sure your Gmail app can send emails normally. CS only delivers docs to Gmail app and then the next e-mail sending process will be completed by Gmail app. Thanks
