Stay Away
On my 2015 iPhone 6, this app was unresponsive. Soft keys only work sometimes. No readily available documentation. Would not trust my boat, or my life, with this software.
Won't work with screen off
This app needs the screen on to work. That's ok if u have a secondary power supply.
can't sleep without it
We use this anchor alarm about 30 nights a year on the hook. My girlfriend had trouble sleeping before we started using it. I tried a few others but like the user interface on this one. The add on maps are also nice. We run it on two phones for additional backup, and we have used the two phone setup to alert us if the boat moves while we are on shore.

Doesn't work
Nice interface, but doesn't work on my phone. Wouldn't rely on $2 app to safeguard $$$$ catamaran
Hmm a BIG glitch
Great program love the phone call bit. Problem is this if your phone has powered down after the 2 or 3 mins to save battery or you are writing a review about an app well it just vibrates and the way I sleep..... Another similar app has overcome this but hasn't got the nice email phone call extra which is nice. Oh small other problem if I leave the phone on the Boat to monitor it who will it call?
One more probably my not understanding the app how do u get it to shut up! A click on the ' all hands on deck' u would think but uh uh. Please answer these problems it's a good app I would pay much more if it was streamlined.

Very poor app
I downloaded this app as a friend told me it was good, I have only had it for about an hour the general settings screen is frozen I can't access the help, support or add maps. Not a good start.
The principle looks ok but the GPS trace is all over the place so a bigger drag factor must be used. Not impressed by this app.

Works for me.
This app gets the job done.
Any gps app will chew up the battery... So it would not be fair to complain about that aspect.
It works in real world tests.
I have used it to check fror anchor drag and a quick lunch stop. When I am overnighting on the hook, I plug in the phone to the 12v cigarette adapter on the boat and sleep easier.
I would like to be able to add and or alter the alarm sounds.
The warning email should state the last known position.
I would prefer a more LCARS type interface... But I am a geek.

Nice, but not working correctly.
The main screen graphics do not change to illustrate on/off via anchor down/up. The radar page does not offer the setting adjustments the manual suggests, which means no adjustment is possible on the range which will trigger the alarm.

Bad interface, annoying sound effects
This app does the job of alarming when you leave a specified area, but it's annoying sound effects, and useless animated anchor makes it a pain to use.
It works!
Anchor Watch is worth it's weight in gold. It very probably saved me from dragging onto leeward moored boats......... and all the embarassment that would have involved! It really does what it supposed to do. Just remember to set the "run in background" setting to on.
