  • Content fails to render

I paid for an annual subscription to Car and Driver. Things worked for about two weeks, then the content stopped rendering on every device I own. I have contacted app support, whom cannot resolve my issue and ghost me on subsequent requests for additional help.

This has been ongoing for several months, over 2-3 attempts at reaching out to support but get no response, and no way to ask for refund on my subscription.

  • Politics meets automotive

I subscribed to Car and Driver in hopes to receive information about cars, read about cars and be excited about cars, but instead I was greeted with the same old politics forcing information on electric cars (which cannot be handled on our grids and is lacking in charging stations).

I don’t care about electric cars. I am not rich enough for electric cars. There aren’t enough charging stations where I live or in the country where I live to where I would even think about getting an electric car. Keep the politics out of it and just give me information about cars.

Don’t force feed electric car garbage in these magazines. I AM paying for this magazine (which I don’t plan on continuing if next months installment has electric car ads and articles) so I want to see cars I can afford, that take gasoline, that are not destroying the environment as spoiled kids keep speaking about while they take private jets to their next big lecture shaming people who own SUV’s and other vehicles.

I want to read about proper cars. Get on the ball and give me articles about cars, Car and Driver. Electric cars will never grace my driveway. I will never spend a dime on these powerless atrocities.

  • Worse than paper

Glitzy pictures, and cool cars, are worthless when the app won’t let me open it when “off line”. I download issues to read while traveling, but this app requires internet or it won’t display previous downloads. Subscribed to C&D for decades, and now, I have this awful digital substitute that only works when I don’t need it to.

  • Be aware, there is no support from car and driver with this app

Long time subscriber here, for years it was OK, but this last automatic renewal one issue got skipped, AND THERE IS NO WAY to get it back!!!
You contact CAR and DRIVER, and the answer is : contact apple! With a link, where of course there is no help…
I let you imagine what will be the critic from C and D staff if while testing the last BMW and have a Power steering issue, and BMW send them to the supplier…. BAD QUALITY, BAD PROBLEM MANAGEMENT….

  • Why is the app not updating?

Still stuck on January 2023 issue, contacted support numerous times and only response received is instructions on how to sync or restore purchases. That is not the issue, as other have mentioned, the app is not updating to latest issue.
  • Can’t Log-in C&D Support Useless

I purchased a membership. But I can’t log in. I contacted C&D support, they tell me that they have no record of my purchase. But it’s on my discover card. I see it in my apple subscriptions. But they cannot locate me and I cannot log in. Apparently nothing they can do. Thanks for you help?
  • Membership Issues

    App won’t recognize my membership
  • Poor

OK when it works, but I downloaded a bunch of issues to catch up on when on a trip and just came to read them on the return trip (4 days later) and none of them are available offline and need to be downloaded again. Seeing as I am sitting on the plane, it’s completely useless.
  • Life is better with Car and Driver

Read it and see what I mean!
  • Car and Driver is Always a Great Car Magazine

I have been a regular Car and Driver reader over the last 35 years. In that time frame, Car and Driver has always held the edge on all the rest of the car magazine population. It comes from the writing, the fact that they know exactly what you know, and they are not afraid to admit it. They are upfront and honest.
