I paid for the Lingvo English Dictionary and Dictionary Pack, but the developers stopped supporting them. So I won’t waste my money on anything this developer creates.Carolxxx
Fabulous app for Russian
This app is wonderful for Russian. It’s able to search for and show declensions. The main thing it is missing is accents, which I very much hope they will add.KarenMN
Outstanding And Versatile Tool
I purchased this app in spring 2011. I have used it at least several times a week, if not many times a day since. I work primarily with English-Ukrainian, but have also needed Russian, Slovak, and Hungarian at times. In Ukrainian I use the basic, explanatory, and pronunciation dictionaries. I lived in Ukraine for four months and this thing was the single most valuable tool I brought. It works really well, has tons of useful info, and almost never crashes.

So far I use only the free Russian-English and English-Russian dictionary.
And it is marvelous... far richer than the expensive Oxford version. It includes copious example sentences.
I am extremely happy with this app and now use it as my primary Russian dictionary.
One suggestion for improvement, since English speakers learning Russian are also users: the stress marks of Russian words should be shown. This is vital for foreigners whose native language is not Russian. Most dictionaries have this.

App comes with several humble dictionaries. There are good dictionaries as IAP. It's comfortable to have all of them in one app, but the price is insane and can go up to $20 and more for one dictionary.
If app goes away or you change platform, all your investment is lost. It's not like paper dictionary. There is no Japanese language, mostly Europeans.Show lessАрви
Best dictionary I've ever seen
I have used Lingvo installed on my PC for quite a few years by now. I knew what to expect when I bought the iPhone version. That is I knew that besides actual translation it provides a lot of examples and combinations, which I find very helpful, and so on.
But Lingvo on iphone definitely exceeded my expectations! I like the ability to take a picture of the page you are reading and have a few words from it translated by simply touching each of them. Also, having both British and American pronunciations is very useful.Show lessFujiLora
