  • App needs some work

As a dictionary, the Macquarie is adequate. But the app is shoddy. It’s hard to believe that any app with a search function would lack autocomplete, yet Macquarie does.
  • Ideal resource for the language

If you listen to English, or read, write or speak it, then this is a great source of knowledge and understanding. Especially in Australia.

It’s fast, accurate and fascinating, easily the equal of the Oxford, and it works when you’re offline.
  • Great content - when you can find it

By and large a good dictionary with excellent Australian colloquialism representation. On only a few occasions have I found words not represented.

The app's browse feature needs additional work. Misspell a word and you're toast. It would be preferable to locate the desired word using a letter-by-letter hierarchy noting specifically where the spelling error is. In the mean-time Google fuzzy logic has been a friend in resolving difficult spelling.

TheThe search function could also be improved. It fails to find word derivatives often.

    Otherwise, a great app.

  • MacWorry a Great Word Bible

Don't leave the home without the Macquarie (MacWorry) Australian Dictionary.
It's an easy to use word search capability with great definitions of the word meaning & history. I love & use lots.
  • Useful

I have the complete 7th ed. in print but it's handy to have it in my pocket. The app could use some polishing in terms of UX and pronunciations, but it works when you need it and the definitions are unparalleled for Australian English.
  • Macquarie

Solid and reliable, helps also to have Oxford Shorter on hand .
  • Solid, reliable and unfussy

This does the business. No gimmicks - just a reliable, accurate resource made easy to use.
  • Excellent dictionary with just a few flaws

The latest version works really well on my 2015 iPad Mini. The database remains inferior to the online OED, especially for technical terms.
  • Thorough and detailed

Love this app. It's available offline as well which makes it even more useful!
  • Great resource to have on phone

Now includes the 6th edition. It is updated to take advantage of the higher resolution displays in the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. One of my 'essential' apps, especially as a aid to statutory interpretation.
