  • point and click classic!

played the first BROKEN SWORD and was really really impressed with it, storyline and character's were really in depth, not as cartoony or slap stick as i thought it was, but wasnt dissapointed. the second one (this one) in the series seems a little shorter in game length, but personally im way to into the story to care haha, that would be my only thing i didnt like, the lenght of this one, other than that if you liked the first one "shadow of the templars" you'll totally love this one. if you havent played the first one, get that one first, its a little longer and the story is a little more in depth, woot woot. • Decent Point & Click Adventure

Liked this game a lot. This is my favorite genre so...
I liked the first one better. It felt longer. For $7 I only got about 6 1/2 hours out of this game. Also the first one had better mini-puzzles. This game doesn't have any mini puzzles until just before the last scene. One doesn't take any effort to figure out - but takes a lot of time to complete the rote task. The second one with the doors and levers just didn't make any sense and was still too easy. Good plot and character development. But what was up with the two random scenes where George/Nico could die? It would have been better to have the character refuse and/or run away because the dying took too long. It broke the flow. The second time with Nico, I just used the hint system to get through it just so I didn't have to look at that skull graphic for 30 seconds between attempts to solve the puzzle.
Anyway...solid 3 stars. Worth playing but wait until it's on sale. Better yet play City of Secrets for .99! Much harder puzzles, great mini-games, and a good 12 hours of play.

  • Great game again

Thanks revolution for bringing these games back to life. I like other users downloaded this game straight after finishing the first. There have been some improvements to the small problems of the first. I have to also agree the game is a fair bit shorter than the first, sadly. Please bring more quality adventure games to the iPhone/iPad :)

  • Awesome!

Game is even better on the iPhone than original on PC!
  • Problem Solved. Thank you.( now i' stuck!)

Finally there was an update realeased fixing the download problem. So now, all I have to say is that this game isn't bad at all, just not as good as its preceedor its not as fun to play and seems to be lacking something. Other than that, it was still worth buying. Oh and now I'm stuck @ the pyraminds D:

  • Another treat for retro gamers

If having the original Broken Sword remastered, and ported to iDevices, wasn't enough, Revolution have followed it up with Broken Sword's sequel, 'The Smoking Mirror'. Really, there's not much to say about 'The Smoking Mirror' that hasn't already been said about the first game - wonderful visuals, great voice acting, clever dialogue, memorable characters, a beautiful soundtrack, and an intriguing story, adding up to a must have for adventure game buffs.

Note, anyone with a 3g Iphone, don't purchase, wait for update.
