No way to cancel subscription
No way to cancel subscription on the app and the manager refuses to do it in person and outright tells employees to not help with that specifically.
Should be illegal I hope they get sued into oblivion
Save the “this is an application review. The fact there is no way to cancel subscription in app is either shady or a massive app failure in the first place. Coming from an actual app developer, ever hear of usability testing? Generally the corporate either has a goal to make van elling subscriptions impossible or the app developers are incompetent. Pick one. Either way it IS RELEVANT to the app. Either a scum corporation or a scum app.

Lose work out tracking
Every so often, the app would close and I would lose tracking my work out for the session. This is annoying as you would have to re-input all the workouts you have done. Is there a way to stop this from happening..?.
Horrible Manager in SM
i have gone into the crunch fitness in Santa Maria, CA for help for a cancellation and nothing was done till further action. i had tried getting a hold of the manager and she was either busy or out. It came to a point where i had to block them to not receive any payments and still then i was still being charged. i ended up sending the management an email of wanting to cancel and nothing was done until i went in person and the manager was finally there. I expressed my concern about wanting to cancel and she had popped up the email i sent and later into a month later is when she cancelled it. Mind you i was still charged for that period of month of waiting for the cancellation. I now have tried to get my refund back on that period of month of waiting and nothing has been done. The lady asked to forward her the email i sent that i wanted to cancel the membership and i didn’t have it because i deleted it because i didn’t think anything else was going to happen now that i had expressed my concerns about cancelling. i was paying for 3 membership +the charge they add for cleaning the equipments. That’s a total fraud. The lady said that nothing appeared on her screen because due to “a lot” of emails they have. I went in person to ask about it and it was the same excuse. 👎🏽 terrible manager . i believe her name is Araceli or something. Crunch, Find A Better MANGER!!!!

Great gym, great app!
Pretty sure all the bad reviews here are from people who clearly didn’t read the agreement they signed when purchasing a membership. It’s blatantly obvious you will be charged a yearly fee and can cancel your membership with 30 day notice to your home gym.
That said, I’m honestly very impressed both by my home gym and the app itself. My gym is very nice and clean. The app is great..from booking classes to signing up for challenges and tracking workouts. I don’t have anything bad to say and am very happy with the price of everything.

Niceeee
Works pretty well, except for the Crunch-O-Meter. Booking classes has always worked great and it’s easy to manage everything else. I’ve noticed that syncing data from other apps usually takes 1 hour to 1 day. Be patient. The Crunch-O-Meter never works and I’d highly recommend that feature just be removed so it doesn’t take space. Just use google maps to check business.

Bad business protocol
This is not a review for the app but rather the gym business in Palmdale, Manuel the manager. I canceled my membership after the annual fee charge which I thought was a month from today but turns out it was on time according to the “contract”. Firstly I signed up for the free trial but he didn’t honor that and started to charge me as a monthly membership. Secondly I wrote him an email early in the year asking him to work with my financial situation and change the charge date for the following week “sorry we can’t do it”. So I continued to get overdrafts from my account causing me more financial stress!! This is why I had to cancel because of the failure to work with their clients just so they meet their business goals. Oh and he didn’t wanted to give me a refund for the monthly fee that they charged last week and yesterday for the yearly fee because I needed to give them a month in advance. New Customer be aware! This place has already bad reviews. Take your business where they can at least work with the customer.

a slow and fat fitness app
The good: feature-wise, the app is fun. The rankings with other local gym members, while preserving anonymity, is great. The global challenges are also engaging. It syncs pretty well with Fitbit and Apple Health. The UI is intuitive.
The bad: this thing takes around 30-45 seconds to open from a cold start, and the workouts tab can take another 30-45 seconds to open afterwards. Sometimes, after starting a workout and tracking progress, the app restarts and all progress of the workout is lost. The app crashes after saving a workout, but it does (usually) manage to save the workout.
The ugly: I have had to uninstall+reinstall multiple times because this app eats up storage until the phone runs out. At one point it was using almost 10gb. This makes the app almost unusable at times.

Unable to Create an Account
When trying to create an account I receive an error message stating that my barcode ID number is not found. Been using my current barcode pass to access my gym for over 2 years with no issues so I know my pass is in the system. Contacted technical support and received a response stating they are unable to assist and to visit my local club for help…. As if they are going to know how to fix the issue. What is the point of technical support if they can’t assist with technical issues?

I can’t connect to the app for over 3 weeks
I recently downloaded the app and unfortunately I have not been able to login after a week of usage. Saddest thing is no one on the front desk is able to help
