Die App wird langsam besser, aber dieser Misch Masch aus Deutsch und Englisch ist grausig! Und ich kann nicht mal die Sprache in der App ändern! Da war mir die alte Version, die vollständig auf Englisch war deutlich lieber!

Can’t unlock content
All content is blocked with no way to unlock it. The app herds you to pay for their subscription but even after subscribing the content is all still locked. Horrible experience.

I bit the bait and subbed hoping to see “locked content” like data sheets but even after subbing it’s still locked. If I’m paying for your subscription I should have access to what you claim is on it. Very shady
It’s a scam
I just got started with 40K and the Armageddon box. Everything tells you to download this app, but it doesn’t even show you datasheets unless you buy a subscription AND the factions physical codex first. Oh yeah, they tell you for $60/year you can access the data sheets, but no, you need the subscription AND THEN you need to redeem a code for each $60 faction book on top of that. This is clearly designed from the ground up to be a scam. You pay them multiple times and get nothing because they always have one more hidden cost buried in there at every step.

Wow!
Since I started 40k (~4 years ago), I have always used 3rd party apps, but bought the codexes for the physical stats. I steered clear of this app for a while due to others saying that you only get 1 list for free. However I believe this is totally fair- and making and linking codexes to an account is incredibly easy. Other apps also stay out of date for *far* too long. This 40k app however, updates on day 1. The UI is slick and intuitive, and it is easy to find rules or FaQs in the search bar. As long as you scan in the codex, rules are fully up to date, and all the stratagems you can use in a given phone is shown at the bottom! An absolute game changer! A+++! Keep up the good work GW!

Great app, with one huge drawback.
The app is honestly great, but in order to see the rules for things you have to buy a $60 book that’s out of date the moment its released. Do better GW.
Exceptionally obtuse and difficult to use.
If, like me, you’ve lost half an hour of your life trying to find the battlefield layouts, they are hidden at the bottom of the ‘event companion’ under ‘event companion’ and then ‘terrain layouts’.

It’s alg don’t know why people be whining giving low rating. It always frustrates me when I verse some noob using another 3rd party app for their rules as they’re never going to be as accurate or up to date as the official app.

Combat Patrol Option
Many people play combat patrol as the games are shorter. Update the app to be able to play combat patrol and 500 pt games.
Where are the Combat Patrols?
I love this app, and the changes, and I even love the concepts for new combat patrol format…. (Although we need missions)…
But where the heck are all the patrols? It’s completely unacceptable that they’re missing. I don’t care if the intent is to make things simple; if you sell a box that says “combat patrol” and advertises free rules, you have a commitment to providing those rules.
I could maybe understand phasing out older ones but even then - just update them please. The worst offence is deleting factions that were released in the last few months; the Red Corsairs, Iron Warriors, Imperial Fists, Salamanders….
And the fact that you kept the “leviathan” box nids patrol but not the current box on shelves, while eliminating the “leviathan” marines patrol…. Now half of my 10th edition “combat patrol” starter is useable and the other half is useless…
Just fix this please. Bring back the patrols. I don’t wanna play the old edition, I want to learn 11th and Combat Patrol is my favorite since I can play a game with my kids that doesn’t exceed their attention span. Fix this and this app is a 5 for me. Without the patrols, I feel generous giving it a 2.

Missing basic feature. Some improvements. Conflicting ruleset with physical book.
This app is overall an improvement functionality-wise from the last version. But on launch has broken rules that don’t work correctly for army building after more than a week later and some updates. Some rules from the core book completely conflict. One big feature that I’m shocked still didn’t make it into the new version of the app is you still CANNOT see how many of each type wargear a unit has within the Command Bunker. When creating a game, the Layout doesn’t have measurements on it, so you have to accept the layout, continue clicking through some screens so you can get the option to go back to the reference feature to go look up the layout for the measurements. So many unnecessary extra steps slowing down an already lengthy game setup process. The new War Journal allowing you to track the scoring, command points and letting you see your opponents list is a nice feature at least.

removed support for 10th edition
was a great app until 11th edition came out. now i cannot use the app for my games. took a long while to collect all the codex’s for my armies and now I can use the app. you should at least allow us to select the edition we play as we spend a lot of money on books to have the content in the app. will change rating if you fix this

Doesn’t work and no support
Datasheets don’t show up despite having unlocked codices and having warhammer+. Have reinstalled multiple times as well as logging in and out to no success. Tried asking for support and got no help whatsoever. Thanks gw for linking everything about your game to an app that doesn’t work.
Free Resources will kinda just, always be better. This app isn’t really that competitive…
Other sites and apps have the rules for free, letting you try before you buy with proper context informing the purchase. GW’s gotten really adept at shooting themselves in the foot at crucial times for safe expansion. When most everyone it could appeal to is essentially primed to get into 40k, they take down third-party not-for-profit resources and animations that a plethora of people engage with, and assassinate any community ambassador attempts to critique the company in the hopes that it will do better.

Very useful, always room for improvement
Bumping my rating up to 4. Some Necron leader attachment options are still spotty but working much better than 11th edition launch, crashes fixed.

App stops working for unclear reasons constantly. Please find someone who knows how to write code next time
Unit Upgrades and multicharacter units not working anymore
For Death Guard, can no longer apply unit upgrades to non-character units. Can no longer attach 2 leaders to units even though data sheet says second leader can be attached as long as not same as other leader.
Sell me models not rules.
App is fine mostly, but just give us full access to everyone’s codex already without having to pair up in a game….its such a scam.
