Can no longer download without login
The app now forces you to log in before allowing you to download an episode to your phone for offline listening.
The app claims this is necessary so it can “remember how far you have listened”.
There is no technical reason for this. Look all the other apps that do this without forcing you to create an account. (Also, I’m an iOS developer - I know how easy it is to store such data locally on the phone.)
First they removed all the NRK podcasts from the Apple Podcasts app and forced us to use this NRK app. Now they force us to create an account to download in this app. I wonder if next we’ll have to create an account to listen at all?
It doesn’t seem great that the national broadcaster is systematically reducing access to content in this way.

Problemer med avspilling
Har nå hatt denne appen på flere mobiler og over flere år. Så lenge jeg har hatt den har det vært problemer med avspilling. Flere podcaster starter rett og slett aldri, selv om jeg forsøker å trykke play og venter lenge i tilfelle den må bufre eller lignende. Andre dager vil den samme podcasten starte helt fint. Jeg bor i utlandet (med super internettdekning), men tror denne appen ulikt alle andre apper jeg har ikke takler å bli brukt fra et annet land?

NRK Radio has fantastic Classical, Jazz, and News channels. Whether I’m in Norway or USA, I tune in to NRK Radio on the app every day.
