Great app, well thought through features
This app has loads of great little features such as customised keys for cooking measures, easy tools to up/downscale the portions and a really clear screen to use whilst cooking the recipe. Would agree with the downside about number of supported websites but otherwise it seems great!
Nearly Perfect!
This is the App that I have been waiting for. I didn't want an app cluttered with tons of other recipes I wasn't interested in using. I wanted an app to store my tried and true best recipes. And I wanted an app that made it easy to enter the recipes and access the recipes. This one does that. This app seemlessly syncs between my iphone, ipad, and the website that I access via my desktop. I've spent the last few days entering my favorite recipes using the website. This is a great feature because it is so much easier to use a traditional computer than the ipad for typing lengthy instructions (but you can also enter recipes via the ipad). As soon as I typed the recipe in, it synced with my ipad and iphone. Now, I have access to my recipes via my ipad in the kitchen and my iphone which is great for last minute ideas while grocery shopping. A few minor improvements such as grocery list syncing with Grocery IQ (admittedly a personal preference) and correcting a quirk in adding categories in the online site, would make it unquestionably perfect for me.

excellent app
this app is brilliant works really well the ease of adding recipes from computer and directly from websites is very helpful.
Things i would like to see from this app in the future:
- make timer available for iphone/ipod as well as ipad
- please make a search for recipes with the ingredient x function, would be sooooo useful for leftovers
- expand the list of supported sites THIS IS ESSENTIAL

Food cloud
Awesome program to keep track of all my recipes and plan meals for the week!
Great app
Hi just the application, I have been waiting for, it's great to be able to add your own recipes. I found this easy. I have tried many others and they have not been as simple or fast. Thank you I can finally store all my favorite recipes in one place and use my iPhone and iPad when shopping and preparing, making it a breeze.

Ideal recipe storage/sharing app
We've found Pepperplate invaluable for managing our recipes, which were previously scattered across browser bookmarks and hardcopy notes. We share a single account across 1x iPad and 2x iPhones, so we always have our recipe collection with us wherever we go.
The shopping list function makes grocery shopping for our recipes a breeze, as we can set up a shopping list on the iPad and grab an iPhone to go to the shops with. Have not tried yet but seems to support using iPhones as timers that can be controlled on the iPad.
Very easy to share beautifully formatted recipes by email and social media, or bring across between pepper plate accounts.
An app we could not live without now, and at far greater quality than most free apps. Only drawback we have found is a lack of support for metric measurements, but this just means they don't get nicely formatted as the imperial or spoon/cup measurements do.
If you are looking for a recipe management app without any built in recipes then look no further. The device support/sharing is top notch!

Just what I've been looking for
Great meal planner! I like that I can import recipes that I find on my favorite recipe sites, instead of having to retype them. I like that I can type in my own recipes. I especially like not having to write a whole recipe (who needs a recipe for store-bought cereal), but still being able to add a dish to a meal planner, by just typing a name.
It can still use a couple of tweaks, like having an option to customize the number of meals (at the moment it has 3 meals a day, but no way to add another, which is useful, especially when you have kids). Waiting for another update.

Absolutely the Best!
I ran across this app while planning a destination wedding catering event. I needed to have a great plan and a way to consolidate the entire three days of menus plus a precise list of every ingredient needed. The last thing I wanted was to travel 300 miles and not be totally prepared... I was spot on with every dish and everything went off beautifully. Cooking a recipe or several with the multiple timers is a real life saver in a crunch with a zillion things going on I can rely on getting notification at the right time!
I owe Pepperplate a huge thank you for such a well thought out app. The new web interface is incredible! Lots of new features and recipe sources to import from plus the manual recipe builder seems much more intuitive. I absolutely love the search feature and hoe very organized my recipes are now.
Thanks Pepperplate! Keep up the great work I love this app.

As Per Other Review, Solid First Pass
This is my first review. I felt the need to write one as there are so few reviews of this new program.
This program is fairly simple. But it does what it does pretty well. I looked over the apps available and picked this one. I'm not sorry. I was looking for a program that I could export my 300+ recipes to via a simple import operation. I couldn't find an app to do this. This app, however, has the advantage of a web based version that allows you to enter the recipes on with a sync to your iPad. This process of web entry goes pretty quickly. You don't even need to cut and paste, but a simple highlight and drag works well.
I had a couple of questions about the nuts and bolts of 'categories' and other parts of the interface that I could not find the answers to by simple experimentation or the non-existent web-based FAQ file. I emailed the developer on at least three occasions with such questions and got VERY prompt answers. I get a very warm feeling from interacting with them, and suspect that they will keep improving the program. I'd give it a 4 1/2, subtracting 1/2 a star for the lack of good instructions on the website, however that is not possible. So, between 4 and 5 stars, I'll pick 5 because of the extreme willingness of the developer to help and the likelihood of the program's being improved. I don't think $9 is too much, as they do have a website and server to maintain.

Solid first pass
There are a few things this app is missing for me personally so I'm keeping it at 4 stars, and haven't yet moved all my recipes over from my existing management system. But from hearing what the company has coming up in future updates I think I could make the switch soon (hopefully). What I love about the app are the great UI features like the dragger to hold your place in a recipe, the ability to assign multiple categories, and dashboard/panel to watch all the timers. The sister iphone app that syncs your timers is also very cool.
My primary issues are data management - I would like to be able to add/edit/delete/manage my recipes within the app and not just via the website, and I'd generally like to have access to all features available across all the platforms (web, iphone, ipad) so that each app wasn't for such a specific/distinct purpose. A nitpicky thing is that the iphone app is another buck - not a huge deal, but it would just make me happier if the two apps were more of a combined universal app that included the timer syncing as a specific additional iphone functionality.
The company has been extremely responsive to suggestions and have spelled out a brief roadmap of upcoming features, so it sounds promising for the future.
