Best online recipe app I’ve used
I’ve really enjoyed using PrePear so far, and am thankful they haven’t completely eliminated the free user option (as has happened to me 2x with other apps). My only quibble is that the iPad app *still* doesn’t have landscape mode, which is the only way I use my iPad when cooking. So I just have to use the desktop mode, and I find that sometimes it freezes or hangs and I have to reload the page to get all my recipes to load. But otherwise I love that you can import recipes from blogs, which works for about 75-80% of the blogs I frequent.
(Developers, please feel free to tell me if I just missed where I can switch to landscape mode in the app!)Show lessKarolinebratsj
THE BEST!
I’m amazed how well it’s made. I tried to upload a recipe from anywhere else, and almost perfectly adjusted ingredients/measurements and such in few seconds!
Meal planning section is connected with Walmart app, that’s so wonderful and my grocery trip is done in 10 min.
I also try to make my own cookbooks so that this is the only place I need when I cook.
So many great recipes from food bloggers, I’m having fun discovering. Foodnetwork actually tried similar thing and recently gave up and discontinued their subscription, that I understand why — so many annoying issues between their app and their partners apps(Amazon, Instacart, etc.) I do not see any of issues I had with Food Network here, so well made for all people, bloggers, and just a busy mom like me.
Btw, you don’t need to pay for subscription, still tons of recipes accessible. I LOVE IT!Show lesskairingo
Constantly crashing and signing me out
Everytime I open the app it’s logged me out of my account. When I login it allows me to see my plan but if I switch screens everything is blank. When I close out of the app and respond it hoping it will refresh my information it has logged me out again.
When accessing recipes through the app on blogs or the internet video ads will constantly pop up and go full screen without any interaction with them. Even if I exit the ad and report it another ad replaces it and forces me to watch it full screen. It’s impossible to read the recipe this way.
Great app with features that would be incredibly helpful and useful, if they actually worked and didn’t bombard me with ads which prevent the app from being any sort of functional.Show lesseagleclaw129
