  • Works great, please add American football skin!

Works great as is for soccer! I would like to request two more options. 1) show image of football or generic person instead of a soccer ball and 2) change background field to an American football field. These are cosmetic changes but would help the team when looking at the lineup.
    Thanks,
    Joel
  • Keeps me focused on the game

I coach 3-5 grade and usually am the only coach. Formations and line ups don't get set until game day. This app helps me balance time, manage subs, and roll up simple stats. Have used this for 5 games now and can see the team improve as I focus on the important things.

Tech support is very responsive. I'd love to be able to share rosters with coaches who cover for me. All in time.

    Thanks CoachIt

  • Needs work

Simply saving teams is inaccurate, drops the teams and brings back the Sample Team when defining teams - huge waste of time. When in a scheduled game and the clock is running, it does not count up for each player so you know when to substitute. Soccer Dad has much more features, even things like numbers for players, but the Soccer Dad app has some bugs right now that made me look at this similar less functional app. Seems like both apps and developers need to put some effort into fixing bugs and enhancing their apps..
This is not even close to being worth $10.

  • Outstanding App!

This is the perfect player management app. It has exactly what is needed and nothing that is not! I would like to see it adapted to other sports.
  • Awesome!!!!!!

Coach it Soccer is by far the best team management app for soccer I have found. Easy to use and pretty fun too. Worth the money.
  • Really nice simple app

I downloaded a few, but this one seems the easiest to work with. Making substitutions on the fly, tracking time, score and a few extra statistics. Unfortunately like others mentioned, depending on how much information you would like to track, you will need someone dedicated. For our team, i like to keep track of goals, ck, startup line and time for U11G

  • Why is there not a 7-a-side option for tactics?

Would be five star if it had that option.
  • Needs more love...

I love the concept of this app. I coach Varsity Boys and was looking for something to manage the roster and stats on the sidelines during the game. It manages the roster OK - and as long as you have your brightness up all the way - it is possible to use during a day game. Would be nice to print these out too (for some reason the referees like their paper copies). I do like the feature that it tracks playing time. Doing the stats, IMHO, requires someone dedicated to doing it during the game. As the head coach - you really don't have time - best left to a manager to take stats. I would have expected the app to be more polished for $10. The roster view is buggy at times - you enter in names - they are all there - but sometimes don't show (using this on an Air running latest OS). It could be because this app hasn't been updated for almost a year. It is best to only enter in first or last names only on the roster - as the name goes under the ball (player indicator) and if you have more than 6 subs - all the names run together on the bottom of the screen. It would be nice to be able to change the player indicator and type faces - but that is not an option. Changing the color of the field to have more high contrast when you are outside would be a nice feature too. Using it now for several days - if the developer would give it a facelift and some coding love - I might upgrade the review to a 3. The killer is $10 - as an iOS app I expect a lot for $10 app. As it sits today - this is really a .99 or $1.99 app. I hope the developer takes the extra $9.00 and updates the app - it has great promise. Oh - and spend some of the money on hiring an artist to give it a make over. If I was coaching U7 rec - this would be OK - but for the HS team - it is a bit immature looking.

  • Coach It Soccer App - love the app

I had been looking for awhile - for a soccer app that would allow me to easily create line ups and to manage subs during games in an effective way. This app does that and much more. It allows you to create line up formations, keep track of the game time, the amount of time each player received, number of times each were subbed, individual stats for your team and general team stats for the opposing team. There is a note section that is avail once the game has been started. You can edit and modify the stats you wish to track. I have used this for a couple of games now and have found it to be amazing. This app will also allow you to export stats in a csv format which then can be opened with MS Excel or other programs that can read this format. What is nice about this app is that once you start the game clock, it automatically tracks the amount of time each player has played as well as the number of sub times for each player. The only thing you need to do is drag the players on that will do the subbing and select from a drop down list to add a stat to a player's name. Another nice feature is that it allows you to take attendance with ease.

Before I purchased this app, I checked it out on YouTube. The video's helped me to make the purchase. You can also find some tutorials on YouTube that will cover most of the features.

The one improvement to this app would be a downloadable .pdf file to explain the features for those of us who need to find quick information and may not have the time to browse through videos.

  • Too expensive for what it offers

It's a good idea, but it's still very basic. For 10 dollars I thought it would be very complete.
