  • Scroll?

I have not long downloaded this app but early in I can see it is going to be very good. The only thing I can't get it to do for me at the moment is scroll the lyrics? I have turned auto scroll on but nothing. Anybody?

  • Worth many times more than Arlo asks!

I went right to BandHelper. I spend more at Starbucks in a week than he charges for a yearly subscription. Don't be so stingy that you don't support his efforts and ongoing development. I have found the app to be invaluable and easy to learn already after one week.
  • Fantastic app for muso’s, vocalists etc... A+

I LOVE this app! And I really only use a fraction of its capabilities. The support and communication from the developers is wonderful. (Should you have any queries, thoughts, ideas or discover any cheeky hiccups)
I mainly use set list maker to auto scroll through my lyrics (I’m lazy... and it’s an awesome security blanket) and also create sets for the gig.
It has so many other great features including playing audio, midi files etc...
Do yourself a favor, download this app, take a short time to set it up to your requirements and presto! Enjoy.

  • Not good!!!!

My purpose to purchase this app that I can share my screen/music chart to all musician while playing on stage but the connectivity is really bad. When I open song/chart from the host iPad p, it takes too long to show change on the follower iPads. The test was to put 2 iPads side by side. To test putting away 5-10 ft then we couldn't get the connection at all.
If u disregard this feature then I guess you are fine. If I don't need this wireless feature to share screen, then I rather use forScore or NextPage3 app instead

  • Too Hard

There are so many functions that it's a real headache to get things to work. Biggest issue for me is the single chart upload....Who has time to upload charts one at a time?
7/1/17...Thanks for the response, I'll contact you directly. I'm hoping you're not going to say that the iPad needs to be connected to a computer and charts imported through iTunes or something....

There are a few ways to add multiple charts at once. You can contact us if you need help finding these functions.
  • Cannot live without it!

As a keys player in pro-covers band, wedding gigs etc, this app is invaluable in my rig. With an extensive list of Programs on my Nord Stage 2, the order doesn't matter. This app has each one linked to a MIDI preset and song in SLM, which is used to create the "show" set list. Once SLM is configured, this is easy to navigate. End result...the setlist is on my iPad by keyboard, a tap of a button and I'm ready for the next song before everyone else in the band. Fully organised and prepared, just how us keyboard players like to be. Obvs good for any musician, you can add lyrics, notes, chords, key change easily. The MIDI is optional. All sync'd to iPhone for resilience. Highly recommended. (Still works on my iPad Mini 1)

  • Amazing App that Keeps Getting Better!

This app has morphed into a "must have" for my band. All 6 of us use it every week! Arlo has graciously listened to his users and incorporated the most useful and convenient features imaginable. The app allows you to do anything from having a simple, easy to read list of songs, to controlling all your on-stage midi devices (and video)! When I prepare a setlist for our shows (we perform several times per week), I alert the band to download it. I there are any changes, no problem... we can update anytime, even at the gig! The app is set up so you can scroll lyrics (with or without chords), and you can have useful fields visible onscreen that help with program content, count-off hints, time remaining for show, etc. Setlistmaker is even essential for rehearsals. For example, you can attach recordings AND alter their tempo and key so your band can rehearse right along with the song. There is so much customization available it's ridiculous. But it never becomes difficult to manage or understand. Whenever there is a problem (which is rare), Arlo addresses it right away! This app is AMAZING and worth every penny!

  • AWESOME!

I've been using Setlist Maker for years now and it is fantastic. I'm a singing, gigging drummer and use the midi functions to control the scroll, song line up, etc with foot pedals and it all works flawlessly. I also use a Roland SPDSX in my setup and that to is midi controlled through the app. Lyrics, charts, notes, highlights, anything you need for rehearsing and performing is all there. All the band mates use it as well so the syncing function is great for keeping everyone up to date. Arlo has done an awesome job with this app and I highly recommend it.

  • Great for rehearsals and live shows

Works great to keep everything in order for your shows and works great as a lyric or chord TelePrompTer
  • Overpriced at free

I was looking for an app to replace GoodReader for song sheets and set lists. What I wanted most was flexible integration with page turning pedals. This app was in the list of compatible apps with my pedal. Unfortunately the app is pretty abysmal. It's UI is reminiscent of an old MS Access app. It is not intuitive, it requires you to spend an insane amount of time doing manual song input. No Dropbox integration, no wifi integration, only iTunes sync to get data imported. Not acceptable.

Do yourself a favor and only input a few small songs to start (shouldn't take more then a few hours) so that you can test the performance mode. It doesn't always turn pages on swipe commands and my page turning pedal (which works fine sending keyboard commands during song input) does nothing, despite being mapped to commands in the database.

Basically, the app can't do anything useful for its intended purpose and anything else requires an in app purchase, can't imagine doing that... This means for me that I'm still on the lookout for a replacement for GoodReader... Sigh.
