  • This app has improved my life

I’ve been using this app everyday in my recovery from a serious car accident.
At first it helped me keep everything organized during a scary time. Now it helps me manage pain long term.

The latest update fixed a few small bugs and now it is better than ever!
  • My longest use app

Update: Latest version fixed everything! Thank goodness! I use this app more than any other.

I've relied on this app for years to help me stay healthy. I had looked at many timers for stretches, floor exercises, weight lifting... and this is the perfect one! It has great audio & visual cues (most others are just too quiet). This will help both after injuries for PT and training for my 100 mile hikes. Well worth getting the paid version (though the free version was very good). - updates are improving it even more.

Please try the 3.0.4 update. It fixes a problem where in some cases the screen that migrates data may only be partially visible. And please contact support@pttimer.com for help. --- I'm sorry you encountered a problem. Please contact support by email (support@pttimer.com) so we can help you recover your data. The update does not remove your old data, so as long as you do NOT delete the app, the data is still there. We just need to communicate with you by email to sort this out. We cannot guarantee that there will never be a bug, but we take pride in always being available to help our users in a very timely manner. So please communicate with us by email so that we may help.
  • New version still needs work?

The new version of the app doesn’t seem to reliably play the audio cues no matter how I fiddle with the settings. It’s now basically useless except for the voice announcing the next exercise!!
  • Horrible voice!

Your new man speaking the word “Start” is awful. He sounds like a bad American actor trying to sound like a British Vincent Price in a horror movie, with a menacing snarl of “Start — or who knows what I’ll inflict on you!” and a growly hint of much too long of a smoking habit. And I have to listen to him doing this over and over and over again, for every repetition? BRING BACK THE OLD VOICES!

  • Needs an update - great idea - not working

PT timer is a very functional ap for building your own workouts, at your own pace, with clear audio cues. As others have mentioned, a work out app like this is surprisingly hard to find. Clearly there is a need for a highly adjustable, and completely customizable work out routine ap. It’s surprising all of the hundreds of workout apps out there are impossible or so very difficult to customize to one’s own specific routines, timing, and ability levels.

Some of the more advanced functions of this ap do not work. For example: Camera function does not work. Audio recording function does not work.

This app appears not to have been updated in some time for the new Mac operating systems.

Version 3 is now available (addressing the issues you raised about version 2.2). Thank you for the feedback!
  • Keeps me going

Exactly what I was hoping for. I have tried 3 other times to strengthen my knee. Thanks to this app I am able to stay focused on the task at hand. My hopes are high that this will be my last round of pt.
  • Best ONE!

This is the best one I have used. If you will take the time to learn how to use it. It is by far the favorite one I have used. I think I tried them all. I wanted something that I could completely customize and this one did the trick. I would give it six stars if I could. Oohrah!
  • OMG - perfect!!

Been searching a LONG time for ANYTHING that helps me keep up with PT reps and sets 😕. (‘GymBoss’ just didn’t cut it for me...)

FOUND IT! AN APP! ‘PT TIMER’ ♥️. It’s a teensy bit of a trick to figure out (but not impossible). It tells me when to start, rest, stop. Counts down (or up) for me. I can enter multiple exercises; can organize (tag) those standing, sitting, lying down, etc. Can even time my icing routine 😊. Much better than my iPhone timer... I can even go from one routine to the next w/set-up pause and no need for me to stop to reset timer or anything. Sooo happy how this app helps me ‘get ‘er done’‼️

  • Exactly what I thought it should be

I love that I can think of an app that will make my life easier and then I search and find it.
Well after going to PT for several weeks I thought I should somehow incorporate the exercises in an app along with custom timers, reps, sets, and connect them to each of my issues so I can use it anytime in the future.
I first searched Alexa skills and found nothing. Not even something I could make on their new skill builder. How disappointing. I would have loved to hear it on my home theater system with voice control.
Next I searched online through 30+ apps and found this one.
Exactly what I envisioned and with a few things I never thought about.
I’m glad they also have a lite version that includes up to 3 exercises. A perfect amount to test with.
My only suggestions would be to change the name to something more universal because this could also be used for working out, yoga, and other recovery therapists.
Also their should be an easier way to upload the 3 exercises from lite to the standard version.
I’d also like to see a more professional looking format. Just compare to the competition who focuses on the medical field.
    Also allow video.
Overall an excellent buy for just $2.99

Thank you for the nice feedback! The current version is indeed a bit dated by now, but we're hard at work on version 3, which will address at least some of your suggestions.
  • Very useful app

I spent a day looking for this app and am so glad I found it. I was a little worried about it being abandonware until I found recent responses to reviews. Took a bit of time to figure out how to set up things but once I got the hang of it things went very smoothly and tuning intervals and such has been simple and straightforward. I really like being able to set things up on my iPad and then transfer to my iPhone. The only hitch is that there is no landscape mode for use on tablets. I have an iPad Pro with the Apple keyboard, which means I have to have landscape mode to use it. The rating goes to 5 stars as soon as I can use landscape mode on my iPad to manage the exercises. A step-by-step tutorial showing how to set up different types of exercises (video or text) to supplement the well-done textual descriptions of the screens would be helpful.

Thank you! Although it is not exactly a tutorial, make sure to check the documentation in More > Example & guide. An update is in the works, so your feedback is much appreciated, and you're welcome to email suggestions (More > Feedback & ratings).
