SW works but cam is poor
This software works ok except it sometimes looses the connection. It works well on the Internet with port forwarding set up on the router. The major drawback is that the Foscam picture is distorted, the sound is horrible and colors are washed out. That's the fault of the camera, not the software. The same is true when accessing the camera from a PC. The corners of the far wall of my living room are curved like parentheses. ( ) The sound out of the camera is so noisy from WiFi signals getting into it that it's unusable. I would not recommend buying a Foscam.Show lessDonk40
Simple setup, works great!
Via port forwarding and with proper authentication, I can view my camera from a specific (freely hosted) web site. This app allows me to enter those credentials and get the feed from that site/camera. The pan/tilt controls work smoothly and flawlessly. I'm about to get more cameras since everything is working so well.
I was confused by the 1-star reviews but decided to try it anyway. Maybe it's the new(?) charge for audio. I'm not interested in audio, so the free version suits my needs perfectly.Show lessPatrickAllan
Decent app
I have a foscam ip cam. This app works well when it connects & I like the controls for moving the camera. The ability to store multiple camera ip's logins & passwords is nice, great for someone who has more than 1 ip cam.
Unfortunately it sometimes has connection problems. That might be due to my ip cams wireless connection to my network tho. That's the only reason I rated it a 3 star. Otherwise I'd give it a 5.Show lessiTouch user 4
Version 1.94
Worked well on an iPad with a Foscam FI8918W until I upgraded to version 1.94. Now it doesn't connect.
Oddly, if I use my iPhone and the previous version of the app, it connects, and then I can connect with version 1.94. Weird.
iPod connects ok with version 1.94. Weird.

Excellent software for wanscam
Bought from deal extreme i was waiting a good software to listen. Thank you very fast and responsive now, you need to edit the software to be able to talk to the camera because the camera have a built in speaker.martymart80

Guys good work on the audio - I contemplated to spend the 3 bucks on it for a few moments as I wasn't sure if it was going to be compatible with my tenvis camera off eBay. But works a treat.[SP]Recon
Audio upgrade
Thanks so much! This app has been amazing from start. I use it with foscam web cam via dyndns to view live footage and access pan. Now more than glad to pay the 2.99 to access the audio from iPhone. A little scratchy and delayed but nothing to complain about.

Nice basic viewer
Update: I have had this app for a year with no issues. Today I noticed audio was now available, so I purchased the new option. It sounds the same as the audio in IE, but it greatly increases latency, so I keep it switched off most of the time. The native audio of the camera has a lot of static unless the camera is hard-wired to your router. That is a shortcoming of the camera, not the app. It is worth the 3 bucks. Would be cool if the outgoing audio (iPhone to camera) worked as well.

Works a heck of a lot better than the clunky native web interface, though features are more limited. Don't know why the left and right pan are reversed. I would pay a few bucks for this if it had audio.Show lessAadelma
Great app
Great app - long time user - but audio is pretty noisy/crackly... Just rolled the audio beta out today though so I expect it to be great down the road - quality app from a quality developer! Just need a patrol mode now ;)fivefathom
