Gyro controls?

I cant turn off gyro controls. It’s totally a missing option in control preference, says its optional in the controls description... I’m confused.

Ohhh finally found it, realized you can scroll down further in preferences. Also IMO one should definitely turn off (lift movement button to activate). I was constantly activating terminals in the middle of a firefight or unintentionally. I assume this helps with certain sections involving timed doors/puzzles but ya Im keeping this toggled off. There are some more options for controls in the ios settings under the app itself, tailor to your liking... now all I wonder is what does the Master Chief toggle do? Guess I’ll find out, I can’t keep that one unchecked.

Good game

Until colony ship for sale cheap

Thank you, Dustin | Q: game controller?

These 3 games (Marathon, Durandal, and Infinity) were so central to my childhood in the mid 90s. My friends and I would bring our PowerMacs (6100, 6400, 5500) in one place using wheelbarrows, because they were so big, link them with AppleTalk cables, and play for hours together. I looked at emulators and was about to spend time refurbishing my 1997 PowerMac 6400 to play these games. Dustin brought them in enhanced form to iOS. Thank you.

One thing: touchscreen controls are hard. Is there an off the shelf game controller that works with this game?

Response from developer

Glad to hear you’re getting back into the game! Pretty much any MFi controller should work as an alternative to the touchscreen controls - even Xbox or PlayStation controllers. Give it a try!

Playing since the start

Played this and it’s sequels since they came out on 68k classic Mac’s in the mid nineties, along with a few of the several fan made scenarios later on, of which Rubicon and Eternal come highly recommended.

Only gripe I have for iOS version would be the controls, but I’m not going to pin that on the dev. Nature of the device. Other than that, great work on bringing a hidden gem, groundbreaking game, and the 64th best game ever (according to Computer Gaming World) to the iPhone and iPad.

May the best sentience win.

As a very big fan of Halo and playing older bunge games for the first time playing Marathon is being pretty interesting the game please pretty good to me. There’s kinda atmosphere horror which surprised me in a good way, I like Marathon so far I haven’t completed it yet but I like it so far so I’m gonna give it four just now but as a fan of Halo pretty good

Most Amazing and innovative game Ive ever played

I absolutely love the game, series and the community. I love being able to play on harder difficulties finally, however, a problem on all 3 games is the ending screens wont show up, but it really isn’t relevant id you can do a quickie google search for it. But other than that, its perfect, everything.

Great game

I’ve played the Marathon games since it 1st came out. It was way ahead of its time.

One little (big) issue

Really intuitive and fun port. But every time I turn my phone off or leave the app for any short amount of time, all progress is lost without saving. That’s quite unfortunate, but still shouldn’t be too big of an issue if you intend to dedicate any time to playing, as the levels are succinct and contain a fair number of save points. Just don’t forget to save first or you’ll have to start over at the last “pattern buffer” station

One of my best gaming experiences

I’m an 06 kid and the classics are never too old

Out of The Past

I am an older game player and don't have the reflexes to keep up with the new games. This was one of my favorite games when it came out and it's the best for me. I can keep up with it and it's still fresh after all these years.

Please keep it up-to-date and running. Thank you!
