Pause button is useless
This game is alright, but what is with the pause button? You press pause, then press resume, and then it messes you up and says “play faster” What the hell is wrong with that?! It’s not fair. If a low battery sign shows up, it’ll pause. So great! My progress wasn’t messed up. But wait, when I click resume to play, I CANT CLICK THE DOTS RIGHT AWAY AND MAKES IT SEEM LIKE IM GOING SLOW.Show lessillumi's wife

The game is fun and therapeutic but I have issues with the fact that a) there is just simply TOO many adds, like an ungodly amount and the price to get rid of them is just simply ridiculous, b) some of the songs are glitchy and and I’d tap to play the notes but it would not actually register or instead assume I’m playing the note above it which results in me getting a low score when it isn’t my fault and c) the vast majority of songs cost in-game currency which is not easy to get alot of. I’ve played all the free ones and gotten 3 stars for each level of difficulty despite the adds and the fact I had to do it ten times because it was glitching. I just feel like this game really doesn’t have a lot of thought put into it.Show less~3943~
I have mixed feelings about this.
Magic Piano by Smule. The first thing everyone probably thinks when they see THAT title is “wow, piano app!” When they look into it, “This app is awesome!” The minute you go through tutorial, ‘BUY OUR ALL ACCESS PASS TO GET ALL SONGS!” Seriously sometimes this app is a joke. I get ads are important to earn money but a mountain of ads is just unfair. Hands down this app can be fun, but Smule seriously need to learn where to draw the line! Greed is slowly killing Magic Piano, and I seriously love this app but… the constant harassment of adverts and marketing is annoying and makes me feel almost uncomfortable. The app’s concept and ideas are awesome, that’s not a lie. And neither is the fact that brilliant composers are on the app, making beautiful fun songs daily! But seriously, Smule? Actually start consider your users…

Hi! My favorite instrument is the piano and I wanted to learn the piano so I thought to myself, “if I want to learn the piano, I could get a piano game!!” So I looked for a piano game and all the other piano apps I downloaded wasn’t free and then I saw this. And I saw it was COMPLETELY free. So I downloaded this game and I loved it right away. I’m not perfect at the piano but this app is making it easier to learn the piano. And I love composer were you get to make your own songs, and my friend has smule to and me like to compose songs and play each other’s songs. But there is one problem. And this problem doesn’t mean I like this game any less, I promise. The problem is all the ads. If I click a song, BAM ad, if I finish a song, BAM ad, randomly, BAM ad. And every one who is making these reviews are complaining about the ads and if everyone is complaining about the ads, why don’t you just take them out? Well, that’s all time I had. bye! Oh, and thank you for making this game! You are the best!!!
P.S One question, is this game called “smule” or “ magic piano”? Bye

Could be better...
So I remember getting this app back when i was like 5-6 thinking that it would be fun, and it was! I wasn't that good so I just used practice mode to play the songs. I deleted the app because I got Minecraft or something. I got this back because I was really bored and was feeling nostalgic. I have enjoyed it so far and have even published some songs i made. I have 2 problems. 1) Smoola. Everyone is complaining. But it makes sense! You get 1 Smoola per level and only some from achievements. Yet, songs cost 25 or even 75 to play just to get around 450 xp which isn't even a sixth of the xp in 1 level. "Watch an ad for 5" only 1/3 of the time does that work and its not reliable. Could be better like making songs only 15 or making levels give 2-3 Smoola 2) Composer. To be honest you did a pretty good job! Sadly, there are some limits. First lets start with the key signiture. No one uses it. All you do is switch it to Chromatic just to get sharps and flats. Secondly, time signature freedom is nonexistent. If you made it so that the measures were more clear and maybe even show some of the notes in sheet music form it would be easier to use. Thanks for reading. Have fun! Pretty fun but I’ve picked up on some bugs.
When composing, even though I’m only tapping one note, it keeps adding other ones. Very frustrating. Also very laggy.
The devs probably won’t change this and I understand why but it really bothers me how difficult it is to get smoola. Either way they’re getting paid - through ads or through purchase of in game currency, but it’d be nice if it were easier to get them because the whole point of the game is to play songsShow lessI Watch Collins Key

It’s been years since I played Smule magic piano and I boot it yup to see… 30 songs. A large majority of my song list wiped from existence. I don’t know for what reasons a song may be removed, maybe copyright or the user leaves or what, but you really can’t leave them in peoples libraries? I watched so many ads to play these songs, coming on daily to get every free song (watching ads before and after every one) and grinding up enough coins to buy others. Now I have only a few left, and none of them my favourites. I’m sorry Violin Concerto In E Major but I suppose I will never be getting 3 stars on your hard difficulty.Show lessAbcdefg... Review
