  • Too many adds

There are far too many ads. An ad pops up after every song and this can be extremely infuriating, as well as a major deterrent for anyone who downloads and plays this game. Please change this. Other than that it is a great time killer.

  • So. Many. Freaking. Ads.

Ugh, BEFORE and AFTER I play a song, I have to watch an ad. I can’t X out of it, because then I just close out of the app and lose my progress, and end up repeating what I tried and failed to do before. I give it three stars, mainly because it is a great app overall, with fun songs and options, xp points after every song you play that you save to level up, rewards, etc. I think it would be such a better game if there weren’t as many advertisements!

Also, almost everything is too pricey. It is hard to get through the game without purchasing something. There are only eight free songs I know of, without being a VIP, and once you complete those, you kinda have to just replay them until you level up and get more smoola to buy a song.

I think this game has potential, but please add in more free songs and lower the amount of ads I see, because honestly it is super annoying, and I want to delete it but I would lose all my progress. If you make these simple changes, my star rating will go up, and I guarantee others will too.

  • Almost unplayable

The game itself is wonderful- song choices, actual gameplay, free songs, and daily challenges etc. But the number of adverts is ridiculous. Every time you finish a song, you get an advert. For free songs that's an advert, then seconds of actual game play, then another advert. I understand why there are adverts and am not saying they should be completely removed, but the volume of them is a serious issue. Then, the fact that there is basically no way to earn smoola to buy songs. You might get 1 or 2 for levelling up, but that's insane considering songs are 25 at their cheapest and many are 50 or 75. Really the only way to earn smoola is watching videos, which would be fine if it weren't for the ludicrously high volume of adverts already. There's encouraging people to pay for a premium version for perks, then there's destroying the free version of your game to make the only reasonably playable version the paid one. This is the latter, and it's a joke. A really good game that is just sabotaging itself really

  • Could be (a lot) better.

Sure, it’s a fun app. Fun to play. Interesting songs. Wide variety. However, this game will have all its joy sucked out of it if Smule doesn’t make less. I know that it’s a free app, and you need money, but if you put too many, you’re going to lose customers by the minute. Also, I would also like there to be more of a variety of difficulties. I mean; the easy, medium and hard bit is fine, but I would like moving on to the next difficulty to mean more than just adding a finger. It sounds pretty much the same too. This to me, as a keen musician is not very interesting. The ‘free’ songs never change, and the same unskippable ads show, every single time. I’ve watched the same ad ten times in a row! Overall, it’s not a very good app, but it’s nice for the patient type of person. As in, the really patient type of person.

  • It very nice

I love this app, but there are far too many ads, and also I think smule should lower the overall price of buying songs. In stead of 25 smoolas, make it 5-10 smoolas, and they are annoying to get.
  • Problems 😒

The game is good. It’s fun. Sorta. I’m on a phone and the tiles are to small plus when I tap with 2/3/4 fingers it makes me tap with 1/2/3 fingers instead and it’s really annoying please make the tiles bigger for iPhone users.
  • Went downhill

I used to have this app as a very young child, and the only reason why I deleted it was because I got frustrated at its difficulty. Just recently, the game crossed my mind and I decided to re-download it and give it another go. Because I’ve gotten a lot better at video games over the years, the difficulty of the game was no longer a problem. There, were, however, new problems with the game that I didn’t expect to encounter.
For starters, the game has WAY to many ads. I can’t play a single song, not even a short one like Happy Birthday, without being forced to watch a stupid, boring video that I don’t care about. I got this game because I remembered how fun it was, but it’s kind of hard to have fun when 90% of the game is just you watching ads for other games.
Second of all, this game is basically begging you for money at this point. The fact that some of the songs are only available to VIP users is just stupid. Do they really expect us to spend actual money on a stupid piano game that we have on our phones? Besides from that, every achievement you can accomplish in the game (leveling up, getting new songs, etc.) can be bought with just a few bucks. The fact that literally everything in this game has been put up for sale is terrible.
    Well, that’s my review

  • Horrible ads!

I’ve always enjoyed playing magic piano. Over the years, I’ve had a membership and at other times did not. Currently, I don’t feel I play it enough to justify paying. With that being said, I have noticed some things that make this app not very enjoyable. 1. It takes FOREVER to earn smule coins. Which makes the app not much fun because I feel like I get to play the same songs over and over again. Not cool and not challenging. 2. Under “my songs” I have a bunch of songs which I have either bought or had while having a membership. At this point without clicking on each one there is no way to tell if I’m able to play it or if I need more smule. Confusing. 3. This is the most annoying of all. The ads that I see (which I do feel there are too many of) are not ones that I wish for my kids to see. There are ones that show a doll that is getting beat up and bloodied and tells you you “kick it’s a**” and that this will “relieve your stress”, really?! Not the message I want to send. There are others I have seen that are similar, zombies I believe, and there is a lot of blood. I don’t expect or desire to see these ads, ever, yet alone, over and over again. That needs to be changed or I will have to delete this once great app.

  • I love it but I hate it

I literally love this game and I have been playing it for such a long time. It’s a brilliant app however what annoys me is that every time I finish a song it goes on to an ad and I have to wait a 50 million years for it to finish and it puts off my mood afterwards and I don’t feel like playing anymore and every time I go on to another level I only get 1 smule even though it’s worth way more! And I should have some smule every time I finish a song plus why do they have VIPs because some of the songs that I want are for the VIPs but other than that I love the game!
