I hate it : A Dystopian Work Experience
Let’s talk about this app that has turned my work-life balance into a distant memory. I absolutely despise how it enables my employer to invade my personal space 24/7. The constant notifications and messages are unbearable; I didn’t sign up for a job where my phone is buzzing every hour with demands and questions.
What’s really infuriating is the location tracking feature. The idea that my employer can monitor my whereabouts at any given moment feels like a violation of basic privacy. Am I in a prison or at a job? It’s maddening to think they can check where I am at the drop of a hat, as if I’m some sort of employee puppet they can control.
And let’s not even get started on the handling of tax and paycheck documents. It’s absurd that I have to rely on this app for something as important as my financial records. If, heaven forbid, I decide to quit, I’m left scrambling to remember my login credentials just to access my own tax documents. What a frustrating, unnecessary hassle!
Overall, this app has transformed my work experience into a surveillance nightmare. I’d rather manually track my hours in a notebook than feel tethered to my job every moment of every day. If you value your privacy and sanity, steer clear of any job that relies on this intrusive, cumbersome technology.Show lessHow to Clock In
Howdy! If you're a security guard and can't clock in, here's what I do:
1. Open app for the 1st time, log in, minimize (swipe up on iPhone and open a different app or browser, while eHub is still open.) For me, when I open the app, the paychecks and tax forms are missing.
2. Leave the app running in the background for at least 30 seconds.
3. Swipe up, go back to eHub. By now, more features should have loaded in: tax forms and paychecks, in my case.
4. Minimize again. Another 30 seconds running in the background.
5. Check again. In my case, this loads the past few shifts on TeamTime and sometimes the clock.
6. If everything's loaded except for the buttons to clock in and out, swipe up again. Close the app fully and restart it immediately (without switching to any other app in between.)
7. You'll know if you've done this correctly when the tax forms or paychecks load on their own. Minimize again.
8. After 30 seconds, go back to eHub. This should make the buttons to clock in and out load in, but the clock will be stuck at whatever time it was when that loaded in. Don't be afraid to clock in: it'll still show up as the proper time.
I do this about 20 minutes before I actually have to clock in, but that's just because I get there early. Hope this helps!Show lessMajor issues
I am one of the branch payroll coordinators for one of the security companies that use this platform. Let me just say that the issues are causing me to have to manually input approximately 8000 hours per week into the system, and our employees are fed up with the constant problems with this platform and how it’s not working more than it is working. I would give the entire system, not just eHub, the entire system, zero stars if I were able to do so. Ever since our company went to this system a few years ago, we’ve had issue after issue. If I were my company’s owner, I would seriously consider getting a replacement provider stat. This is beyond ridiculous.Show less
