Ace app - minor recommendations
Great app, I’ve never had any issues with it whatsoever. Very easy to navigate and manage on the go. I’m renown for transferring money to my spending account on the spot, at the cash register while the machine is already waiting for my payment and it’s been perfect every time. The only suggestions I could make would be to have a notification function for when you have been paid by someone. Can be a bit painful on payday having to go in and manually open/reload the app over and over again to check. A little push notification would be very helpful. Further, the login pop-up when re-opening the app can be painful if you didn’t correctly log out the last time you used it (we logged you out while you were away). I think it’s a bit of a given that if you leave the app it would log out. It can waste that extra second when trying to access your money quickly - would be easier without the pop-up. Little things I know but I feel it would make my experience a lot better. Overall, love your work ING!!!

Needs more features
After moving from the CommBank app to this, I find this a bit buggy and basic.
It would be good to be able to look at accounts and filter by credits or debits. Also when you scroll down the page looking at your accounts, and it gets to the bottom and loads more, it then jumps back up to the top of the page again at the most recent purchase, so then you have to keep scrolling down, jumping back up, scrolling down, to see your purchases made a while a go.
Would also like to have recently used payment references, for when you are transferring or paying someone, instead of typing something new every time, you can just click on one you frequently use or recently used.
It’s also just not as intuitive as I would like it to be, still clunky.

Response from developer
Hey there, Thankyou for your feedback. We have since resolved the scrolling issue. Please let us know how you go with it! We will keep you updated on any new enhancements coming soon. Thanks
Normally Excellent!
Let me just start by saying I love the ING banking app. I have never had a problem using it - it is very intuitive and easy to navigate. I’m love that I can quickly identify every account and transaction. It also has some great features for keeping your account secure (but always accessible by you!) This makes me very happy!! :)
The only glitch I’ve encountered came with the latest update. As I scroll through my transactions, each time it needs to load more, it jumps back up to today’s date (or the top of the list- the more recent transactions) and I need to scroll down all over again. Hopefully with the next update this will be fixed so we can seamlessly scroll through our banking history!

Big Four Convert
Having recently changed from a Big Four bank, here are some of the things I miss:
- being able to categorise spending
- having a single combined total of all my accounts as well as individual account totals.
- being able to see at a glance what my recurring payments are for; in the ING app it just says “transfer” and doesn’t display the description in the outgoing account so I don’t know what it’s for.
- similarly, having an alert for things due in the next week (eg. ‘You have 2 upcoming payments due in the next 7 days’)
- the discrete way in which my balance was available without logging in. The ING version of this displays very largely and prominently on the home screen which is not ideal.
Things I like about the ING app that I didn’t have before:
- being able to set up new accounts easily (so easy, I did it accidentally).
- round-up; however as others have said, being about to consolidate this view rather than ever 5 cents being a separate transaction would be great.
Things I don’t like:
- the ‘you’ve been logged out’ pop is already very irritating.

Easy to use
Great app, easy to do pretty much everything I need to. Clear navigation.
I turned on the everyday roundup feature, which is a good feature, but found my transactions view now swamped with entries in my savings account. it would be good if you could roll them up to show one running total for the whole month or something that you could drill into, just so you don’t have to see every single entry all the time.
Be great if you didn’t keep getting offers for things you already have. I’ve already signed up for payid but keep getting requests to sign up, and I already have the max number of everyday accounts but the offer to open a new one still displays.
