Customer service

Not very happy with Zomato recently. When I have had to follow my orders up (McDonald’s) the restaurant doesn’t have it on their system as details have not come through from zomato and they have been unable to help me with anything. Had to then contact zomato to try and solve issues. Their chat is all automated options and half don’t even apply so it’s hard work getting hold of someone to help. Would like to see an option for “chat to advisor to follow up an order” rather than have to open up a maze of questions which don’t apply, just to be able to chat to someone! Also delivery timings have been exaggerated on zomato today so I don’t actually know when my food is coming. Eg my order today should be here within 30 mins but Zomato has kindly put a time of 2 hours for delivery time!!! Will be considering other options to order wherever I can now

Hello. Tonight I arrived to collect my phone order which had been packaged and was waiting. However, unfortunately this insolent young girl told me quite rudely that I had to wait. She then very slowly wrapped up another order and then called that customer totally ignoring me. I then asked another staff member if I could pay and run and the young girl started ranting about me not being able to wait for 5 minutes and that she was sick of customers being rude to her. Fortunately I was served by someone else as she continued to rant in an unprofessional manner. They forgot to include the fish so I rang and was greeted by her continuing to rant and then hanging up on me. On arrival at the store she continued with her unprofessional outburst. If she is concerned about customers not being lovely to her, all she needs to do is be nice and caring in the first place rather than coming across as not caring at all. Unfortunately I won’t attend again while this insolent girl is part of the staff.

Extremely bad and unprofessional customer support team

I had the worst experience ever with the customer support of this application. I had a missing item in my order and the customer support team was rude, he refused to ask the restaurant to deliver my missing item and force me to accept his only solution of refunding the value of the item, which is the easiest solution in order not to bother him self. To get rid of me, he accepted to refund part of the delivery charges. An unacceptable attitude from a careless customer support team with the clients at the bottom of their list of priorities. I can’t blame anyone except my self for not using Talabat or Carriage.

Verona’s

My favorite country to visit is Italy and here in Alexandria, we have a restaurant that reminds me of a little trattoria in Rome ... from the moment I enter Veronas I’m transported back to my favorite spot in Rome ( Piazza Navona) at Veronas there are many superb dishes to order , no matter which tasty dish you order , you will not be disappointed... it’s hard to choose as I try a different dish each visit .. I think my favorites are the Salmon Special ( capers , Tomatoes, Kalimata olives in a white wine sauce ) the Salmon melts in your mouth , I also love his Italian spaghetti, Tony’s sauce is truly spectacular, oregano, basil .. it’s a secret I’m sure , I’ve tried to duplicate it but mine always falls short .. the staff is friendly , the prices reasonable... if you want a taste of Italy , I recommend Veronas, tell them Michelina sent you ...

Pitiful customer service

This company has gone downhill. Very poor customer service when you have issues with deliveries and fails to rectify problems sufficiently. Waited over 100 minutes for a delivery without any update from Zomato or the restaurant.
They need to provide notifications for delayed delivery so customers can make informed decisions prior to ordering.
Online customer service ‘chat’ ignore requests for a suitable solution and are completely inept. App is okay but the company behind it are unprofessional and have no integrity
Avoid at all cost as use a different delivery service. You’ve been warned...

Awarding one star was generous and I only gave it because I couldn’t leave none!

UPDATE-reply to this review came from Zomato. They had the power on the evening of said shocking experience to rectify it AND to revisit the online chat to understand the issue and, again, rectify it. Writing a response to ask me to ‘send an email’ so they can look into it is more proof that they throw puddle deep platitudes to make it look as though they are concerned. Hey, Zomato, do the research yourself and then contact me properly.

Awful!!!!

I ordered 2 mains and 2 deserts and pod then one of the mains was removed from my order. This happened last week too. Last week they apologised and said the system was having issues when I contacted customer support and sent me a replacement out. This week the customer support assistance I got was awful, they said they were called Jubair. Said I was lying and had not ordered the item at all (it is a buy one get one free item on Mix n Match so why would I order 3 items) and did not send out the extra meal and said I would have to email customer support email. Absolutely ridiculous when the same thing happened the previous week and they contacted me straight away and resolved it. Jubair has probably lost Zomato a customer. I hear from friends that Talabat is good so I will try that.

When I ordered I had mentioned no cheese no pinto beans only black beans I immediately called the restaurant when I saw The complete wrong order with cheese with the pinto beans the restaurant said management will call me, after 30 mins I get a call saying that we will replace the Oder for almost an hour I get no update, so I called the restaurant again they said sorry we can’t deliver as we don’t have delivery boy you give it to the zomato man standing I said what are you talking, when I called you said we are sorry we will have it changed that to the management called me after 30mins, then after an hourlong wait I called the boy told me give it to zomato where do you want me to find zomato guy this is rubbish I’m very disappointed the box is untouched I want some one to look into this matter.

We were looking forward to this.
The lady who welcomed us was pleasant and very helpful, and the decor was really well done, however that’s where the good experience ended. The food sounds and looks great on the menu. In reality nothing was authentic or worth the price. Squid tentacles were tough, dumplings were doughy, the Bao buns were not made on the premises, and the duck roti was disappointing, more odd sauce than duck, the roti nothing like the flakey delicious bread we were expecting. Everything had a similar taste, and although we ate it all, as nothing was offensive, nothing left us talking about wanting to return to eat it again either.
It’s such a shame, as if the food was as good as it looks Daisy’s would be such a winner. I’m sure at the moment it is, as it’s decor and style would make it a great choice for groups, a few (expensive) drinks in and the food wouldn’t be as important as it was to us.
We left feeling a little flat, wishing that Daisy’s had been as good as we were hoping it would be. Love the decor and idea, the food however needs to taste and look more authentic before this will work long term.

App now ruined

Zomato used to include the menu of each individual fast food place, even if it was part of a chain. This was incredibly useful, because each store has slightly different menus and prices. Now they have one generic menu for each chain, with no prices included. They are clearly in kahoots with these fast food chains in order to mislead you into spending more money than you need to. Otherwise there would be no purpose of changing this useful feature into one that completely defeats the purpose of the app.

Untrustworthy

It’s been twice now and both back to back incidents that on first occasion my order through application was delivered an hour and a half late(and I thought maybe cause there was no order tracking and delivery was through the restaurant I ordered from), second time today again ordered and unfortunately this time ordered was confirmed and a zomato tracking confirmed and received later 2 notifications of a Zomato vallet driver on the way to pick up my order from the restaurant, then suddenly my order was canceled claiming that restaurant cancelled the order. Very disappointing and unprofessional.
