Poor service

I had very bad experience with zomato . I m so disappointed with your service. I ordered pizzas with zomato through la pinoz. They have given instructions to the delivery boy that pizza is cheesy . So handle with care instead of that pizzas were in very bad condition . Toppings were not there on the pizza . Toppings were on the box nd 3 slices of pizza . I even had chat with customer care. But they were least bothered. Nd instead of solving my problem after 30 minutes they have added ₹100 in my account . As if your ₹100 can solve my problem. I have ordered the pizza amount₹923 . I even told them we are starving . Instead of giving solution they were sorry . Is this the way you are delivering your promises ? Nd i must say the tagline which you have used “Not all superheroes wear capes” . We don’t want such heroes . Don’t make promises if you can’t fulfil them . Swiggy is much better than zomato. Atleast they care for their customers. Thanks for your ₹100 credit and for such a nice pizza and so good service .

5 orders not received in 3 days

Currently staying in Kolkata and tried using zomato to order food, 2 times in a row on first day my order was processed and I was notified that the delivery driver was on his way and then did not receive the food and was told my order was cancelled only after messaging customer service 2 hours after the order was placed! This kept happening over the next few days on mine and my boyfriends account. My boyfriend also messaged the zomato chat asking if the order had been cancelled as the food had not arrived and he received one back saying 'we have just cancelled the order on your request' showing they had obviously not read the message properly. Awful experience will not be using again in India and will not be using or recommending the app when I return to the UK.

Perfect brunch today at Fika and although we haven’t been for a while , won’t be leaving it as long before visiting again . Best Eggs Bene we have ever had, in Auckland and elsewhere . Each element on the plate was divine , including the delicious , Dutch style streaky bacon . We each had a little jug of extra hollandaise on request at no extra charge , although we offered . Coffee was good with minimal wait , but believe it’s much busier on the weekends . Helpful front staff and Sissy the chef is a creative wonder . Have had EB on the 3 occasions we have been , but intend trying something else from the menu next time . Unassuming little cafe which offers so much more than standard fare . A plethora of cafes on the Shore but Fika is a stand out .

Why go backwards?

Love the app, always use it to search and bookmark restaurants I want to visit. However, in the recent update, when browsing the bookmark list, some filters were disappeared, only left “book online” and “open now”. Where is the “been there” and “not been there” filter? They are very important for users (or at least me), because sometimes we want to try new things, and sometimes want to revisit good restaurants. It is very hard to find restaurants from a huge list of restaurants bookmarked with this limited filters. Other than this, the app overall is very good. Please update and give us back the important filters!

A must have app if you like food

This is our go to app before we try any new place. Not just for restaurant reviews but also to see what the popular dishes are (as recommended by users) and also menu previews. If you like food and eating out then this is the only app you need (assuming it covers your area). It also has the option for online orders though can be a bit glitchy for ordering from. You can also make restaurant reservations / bookings which work well (though if you call the restaurant directly you can find more time slots than those shown on zomato).

Where did the reviews go in the home delivery section?

Hi, I use this app mostly for home delivery and rely heavily on the restaurant reviews left by users to help me decide what to order, if at all. With the last two updates I the button for detailed reviews has disappeared from the online home delivery option. I’m left with only the star rating from the last few orders with that restaurant. Why? Now to see reviews I have to click “back” to leave “online delivery” view and switch to all restaurant view and search for each restaurant I’m considering ordering from to read the full reviews and c pix users post of food they ordered. Bring it back plz! Also the filter for food cost is gone when I search..bring it back!

Where is map features?

I noticed that mapping features are no longer the core of your app. When I filter my restaurants, I can't see their location on a map any longer. When I go for Nearby places and draw a boundary for search area (cool feature btw), I can't see the search results as a list or filter the results.

I'm shocked that you are taking such a backward step which is in a way encouraging your users to use Google maps instead. You do realise that you have such a massive competition with Google Maps or TripAdvisor? Your main differentiator is having much richer user rating and reviews on restaurants so the biggest mistake is not making your app as powerful as your competitors in terms of search features.

Lacking care with communication and quality of food

Went for dinner with group of five. As some in group have trouble Hearing with high noise level, we asked if we could sit in back section which appeared quieter. We were told we couldn’t as the area was booked out. There were only 2 people sitting there at the time, and no new customers went there during the two hours we sat at our table. This the communication we had been given by the middle aged man who was supposedly in charge, was blatantly dishonest. We couldn’t discuss it with him later as he was nowhere in sight. His attitude appeared reflected in the rather indifferent service. The food itself was bland and greasy. I could not see my self returning there or recommending it to others.

Super handy for foodies!

Being a person who loves knowing what a place is like before trying it Zomato is perfect for me! I won’t eat out now unless I’ve checked out a place on Zomato first and it’s so handy being able to see pictures and hear actual peoples experiences about the food and atmosphere of the restaurants before going there yourself! Couldn’t recommend it more for fellow foodies out there

Great app! Love it!!

I live in cbd so this app is my go-to app on a daily basis! Absolutely love it!!!!! Makes life soooooo easy for me cuz I can quickly search new restaurants, easily navigate location cuz it’s linked to google maps, call up the restaurant. My fav feature is getting to view the restaurant “Menu” section. One thing I’d improve about this app would be for them to separate the photos, one section for the food photos and a second section for the restaurant photos, cuz I want to c what the restaurant location/internal ambience/external building looks like , but it’s time consuming for me to scroll thru hundreds of photos to look for the restaurant photos. Over all , app is awesome!!
